Questions & Answers

Is it common for the teeth on this lash comb to fall out? The combs I've used in the past have given me the most trouble; are they worth the money?

For the past 5 years, I've been using this comb. Every year or so, I have to replace mine. I use mine on a daily basis and take great care to keep it clean. Between each coat, I comb my lashes out, 2- I apply four coats per day and clean between the teeth on the comb with an eyebrow brush after each application. So before my teeth start to fall out, I clean it over 1000 times. It is extremely durable and can withstand my heavy use and frequent cleaning. Because the metal teeth come out if you pull on them, I clean it gently. You can, however, replace them. This comb comes highly recommended!

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE MASCARA IN ORDER TO USE IT?

You are free to use any mascara you desire. Use this comb to help separate your lashes after you've applied mascara. Any clumping will be removed. After each session, wipe your teeth down with an old washcloth to help keep them clean. It will not work if there is too much dried on. This is something I really enjoy. Just be cautious when using it because the teeth are extremely sharp. Never use in a car or anywhere else where you might collide with someone. You don't want your eyeball to come into contact with this.

Do you think this one works better than the RT eyelash comb?

It is, without a doubt, the "best" eyelash comb available. It does exactly what it claims to do: it separates and removes any excess mascara from your lashes that may be clumping them together. It appeals to me.

When it's closed, how long does it stay closed? TY! ?

I'm guessing it's around 4 1/2 inches long.

I like how simple it is to use and how small it folds for travel; however, there are a couple of issues
3/5

My lashes are combed and separated beautifully by the teeth. It's also a fantastic feature to be able to protect your teeth - I've stabbed my finger numerous times while traveling with other versions that don't fold and for which I quickly lose the protective cover. br>However, there are a few things about this model that I don't like.

- It's already starting to rust. It's been maybe a month since I got it.
- The teeth aren't firmly attached to the handle. After each use, I thoroughly clean the teeth. It's partly to keep it looking nice, but it's mostly to prevent my mascara from building up and making it less usable. To begin with, I've noticed that when I wipe my teeth, they pull out. As a result, I've had to devise a unique method of wiping my teeth while avoiding pulling them out, which is both inconvenient and inconvenient.

I'm not sure why this little comb has to be so ding darn sharp, but it's a weapon in disguise
3/5

If you're brave enough to let the sharp tines near your eyeballs, you can actually get every lash with it. When I first got it, I did that like a clueless newbie, and it still makes one of my eyelids feel funny. Even though there was no blood, I was taken aback by its absence. It's well made and has a great folding design. This is going to last a very long time. So, while eyelash combs are useful, I'm not sure you need one that can easily dispatch a mugger.

It's inexpensive and effective at separating lashes without having to remove mascara
5/5

Mascara has always been associated with clumps in my mind. One of the reasons I avoided wearing mascara until recently is because of this. However, as I get older, my eyes could use some help. So, let's talk about mascara. There are also clumps. My old plastic lash comb was insufficient for the job. I tried using a spoolie to remove the clumps, but it required so much stroking and combing that the mascara was also removed. So I turned to the internet in search of something more suitable. br>br>The Tweezerman Folding Eyelash Comb is small and light, measuring only 4. 5" (11 cm) Unfolded, it measures 5. 5 cm long and 3. 5 cm wide. 8 inches (5 inches) tall Folded, it measures 5 cm. There are 30 gold-plated pieces in total. plated metal spikes to comb through lashes and protect them when the comb is folded The spikes have a lot of bite to them. To keep the comb away from my eye, I don't use it near the base of my lashes. Although a similar comb with a high-quality, brushed stainless steel handle would be preferable, the comb's plastic handle is of acceptable quality for the price. Mine is a dark color; There are also clear and pink options. br>br>Because I have long lashes, when I comb them upward, the comb sometimes catches on my brow, which can irritate it. It does, however, separate lashes, remove clumps, and leave lashes looking great – all without removing the mascara. Because I use tubing mascara, the clumping isn't as bad as it could be. Stuck- over-all and together However, gooped eyelashes remain an issue. It can be fixed with a Tweezerman comb. The lashes are absolutely stunning. Just keep the comb away from your eyes. To prevent injury, always use a mirror. To get the best results, comb your lashes before the mascara has dried.

This iLashComb has served me well since 2010, and it continues to do so
5/5

I've seen a few reviews that mention rust, but mine hasn't rusted since I purchased it in 2010. Because mine is clear, I know it isn't rusting on the inside. It works wonders on my lashes, separating them, smoothing out clumps, and evenly dispersing mascara better than the wand. Apply one coat of mascara to one eye (either the upper or lower lashes) and comb it through. Carry on with the rest of your lashes in the same manner. Apply one coat of mascara to one "set" of lashes at a time (e. g. , eg. , eg. , eg. , eg. , eg. , (either upper OR lower) - It must be applied while the mascara is still wet, or your eyelashes will be pulled out. If you're going to apply a second coat, make sure to comb it in. after the final coat and in between coats The teeth do come out, which I think is a good thing for cleaning (and drying) purposes (just don't flush it down the toilet). When used with "eyebrow mascara," it's especially effective on the brows. Eyebrow "brushes" can remove, ruin, or smear eyebrow mascara, whereas this eyelash comb improves the appearance of the brows (use it while the eyebrow mascara is still wet). Because the teeth are very sharp, you must use caution and a delicate touch when using it. I wouldn't recommend it if you have shaky hands because you risk injuring yourself.

Extremely strong warning
3/5

A cautionary note should be included. It has a row of razor-sharp tines that make it easier to open packages. I accidentally bumped it into my eyeball on the first and only time I used it. Even days later, it hurts. I'd previously had a scary corneal scratch and was still on antibiotics and steroids, so I consulted with my ophthalmologist, who advised me to watch it carefully and use the drops, and to call me if the problem persisted after a week. It has begun to heal at long last. This device is extremely dangerous and should be taken off the market immediately. Its tines are sharp enough to pierce the skin when rubbed against it with a thumb, which I did to try to remove the accumulated mascara. I believe that combing Barbie doll hair would be a good idea.

It didn't stand up to scrutiny
3/5

What a letdown! I'm a big fan of Tweezerman tweezers, so I expected the same quality here. Unfortunately, no. Not only is it unnecessarily, terrifyingly sharp (in the SF Bay area, I was afraid The Big One would strike whenever I got these near my eyes), but it also developed cracks and flaws where the tines attach to the base. Eventually, the needle-infested area will be cleared out. Sharp tines began to fall out of their sockets! I replaced these with Ibeauti's and am much happier as a result.

Another fantastic Tweezerman product, and I believe that steel teeth on a lash comb produce the best results
5/5

But I'd had enough of lash brushes losing their teeth after only a year of use. So I forked over the cash and purchased a Tweezerman. The navy blue/black lash comb that I ordered is fantastic. Strong, well-made, and razor-sharp. (However, be cautious; it is so sharp that it will cut/scrape your skin if you are not careful. ) When I received the teeth, I double-checked that they were securely anchored in the comb. The teeth are still secure and as good as new after about a month of use. Every few days, I clean the comb and teeth with rubbing alcohol to keep them clean and remove buildup. Other lash combs that I washed and exposed to water may have gone wrong. Tweezerman always makes excellent products and has great customer service in case any problems arise, so I'm hoping that rubbing alcohol will keep the comb cleaner and in better shape for a longer period of time.
