To me, it appears to be real. However, I wouldn't be able to distinguish between a genuine and a phony one. It's great; it curls my lashes all day and I haven't had to replace the pad yet. I like this eyelash curler better than any other I've ever had. Although it is unlikely that it is still available in stores, shu uemera does have a US website. $20. 00 on their own website, so you'll most likely only have to pay for shipping.

Is it possible that it's a fake? Shu Uemura has been a long-time favorite of mine. Because it doesn't pinch like regular curlers, this is probably the best eyelash curler for Asian eyes. Unfortunately, the one I recently bought/received pinches my eyes and does not fit properly. When I tried to use it, I burst out laughing. Either I got a bad one or this isn't a genuine Shu Uemura product.
I've been using Shu Uemura curlers for a long time. This one, unfortunately, fails miserably. It's possible that the rubber inserts are to blame. It doesn't do a great job of curling lashes. I'm not going to purchase anything else.
This is almost certainly a forgery. After trying out my sister's real version, which is fantastic, I decided to buy this. This curler is flimsy and does not keep my lashes curled for more than ten minutes. Purchase it from the Shu Uemura website as soon as possible.
Too big for my eye socket, and the shape prevents it from reaching my eyelashes in order to curl them! Shu Uemura eyelash curlers have always been a favorite of mine! I'm not sure why this one is so oddly shaped. The arc's shape is what distinguishes it and makes it much more comfortable to use. With this model, I rarely pinch my upper eyelid. I believe the angle of the arc also helps to fan the lashes in a more appealing array, which is beneficial for achieving the perfect eyelash line. I would buy this again, but it's so well made, and with included refills, it'll be a long time before I need to.
Based on the product description, price, and reviews, I expected a curler with superior performance. However, after several attempts at using this curler, I am completely disappointed. Because the curler is so small compared to others, it's difficult to hold unless you have tiny hands and thin fingers, which I don't. Because it is uncomfortable to hold, it is difficult to get my eyelashes positioned in the opening (compared to my old curler, which costs 5 times less, this curler's opening is less than 1/2 as wide). Because it is difficult to apply a smooth motion while curling the eyelashes, I end up with lashes that look jagged, requiring me to go over and try to curl my lashes several times to smooth them out. With other curlers, I've never experienced the jagged effect. I thought I just needed more practice with this curler, but every time I use it, I'm disappointed by how difficult it is to achieve nice, curly curls. This product appears to be completely useless to me because it fails to perform the function it is supposed to.
br>I'm very pleased with this seller's honesty in stating that the Shisheido brand rubber replacement pads are slightly shorter than the Shu Uemura silicone rubber pads. br>Because the difference in length is so slight, I didn't find it to be an issue for my eye shape. In fact, the slightly shorter pad kept me from pinching the delicate skin around the tear ducts! br>Thank you very much for your generosity! I'm extremely happy.
