My daughter's hair has been cut by me for the past 8 years, and I've been cutting my own bangs for my entire life, so I've had a lot of As you can see from all the positive reviews, I am not sure if the pair I received are used, or if the manufacturer needs to dust them in order to make them work. But either way, the pair I received is useless. Therefore, should you decide to put yourself at risk, there is no harm in doing so Hope you get a pair that's sharp and capable of cutting. It might be worthwhile for you to remove the pair and test it immediately after arrival so you don't miss out on the return period.

Neither of these felt particularly sharp when I used them, but I observed that if you didn't close them carefully, the blades could easily separate. It isn't very thick, so the scissors are flexible enough that if you apply force to the blades that aren't aligned with the hinge, the blades won't stay in contact. This does not work, even if you tighten the screw.

The product should not be purchased. Since I really liked these scissors and wanted them to be excellent, I was very disappointed to find out that they were not good. It seemed that the top 1inch of the blade (the tip) wasn't very sharp and therefore wouldn't cut the hair at all. As long as it pulled, it would only work. Sadly, the only part of the scissors which was sharp and able to cut hair was the middle part, and using the tip of the scissors is a common method to cut hair. It would be great if I could return them, however I decided to sharpen them since I was hoping that would solve the issue, so it is unlikely that I will be able to do that.

This pandemic forced us to buy these to cut the hair of my husband. The last time I cut hair was 20 years ago. A couple of YouTube videos helped me come up with ideas without sounding overly messy. It included a case with scissors that were both sharp and of good quality. Despite my medium hand size, I thought the holes for the thumb and finger were just a little small, but still more than adequate. These are great! I recommend them!.

Apparently they will last a lot longer than I am sure, but they seem fine. The skin looks great, however the finger holes are a little too small for me.
