The “purging” phase around weeks 4 to 5 of treatment started. . . . In any case, Adapalene has been working for me and I am using it instead of the prescription one now that my skin appears to be clearing up. I have so far not had any issues with it. My dermatologist said that for the medication to work (very slowly), it must be taken for at least six months (or longer).
