When you don't follow the instructions below and allow your skin to adjust slowly to retinol, this is a common reaction. "Pure Retinol is a potent ingredient, your skin will need time to adjust. Introduce gradually," I copied and pasted directly from the product's description section. Week 1: Before applying moisturizer, apply Pure Retinol Serum twice a week. Use every other night in the second week. Week 3: Use as tolerated at night. In the morning, apply a layer of SPF. "br>If you experience a reaction despite following these instructions, you most likely have sensitive skin and this retinol is simply too strong for you. Retinoids, such as Grandactive retinoids, are my recommendation in this case. Retinoids are a much gentler alternative to retinol. Retinol, in particular, in its purest form. If you're going to use retinol or retinoids, you'll also need to wear sunscreen. br>Most people who complain of redness and peeling are simply having a normal reaction and haven't been properly educated on how to use retinol. Because my skin is used to retinol, I don't experience any redness, itching, or peeling. However, I began by using retinol-free products and gradually increased my retinol dosage. It's not the product's fault; the instructions clearly state that this is a high-potency retinol. If you're a beginner, take it slowly at first. If you can't stand it any longer, try retinoids. I despise all of the negative reviews from people who claim they had a skin reaction after using the product. This indicates that the retinol is working. People, you simply aren't used to it. Read up on things beforehand, and always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, always, Folks, this is basic logic.

3% formulation adopted by this L Oreal Paris product. So why do you choose this 0. 3% pure retinol over others saturating the cosmetics market, including those offered at a lower price point ? br>br>Because the value is 0 at the moment. If it doesn't moisturize, protect, and heal the skin at the same time, 3% pure retinol can irritate, redden, and strip the skin. As someone who suffers from a flare-up of contact dermatitis, I can attest to the fact that The total absence of fragrance, silicone, and parabens in this L'Oreal product is a rare selling point for those with contact dermatitis, eczema, and/or everyday sensitive skin, as these are The Big Three dermatologists cite as triggering for those with contact dermatitis, eczema, and/or everyday sensitive skin. It just doesn't make sense to actively taunt and enrage the same skin I'm attempting to persuade to look younger. br>br>A world-class product that, if followed properly, yields real results. At this low price, it's also a great deal. - (Did you find this review helpful? If this is the case, please notify me by selecting "Helpful. " " Cheers!.
I've been using retinol for about 20 years, and I've gradually increased my potency as I've gotten older. If you're new to retinol, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Once or twice a week, 1 to 2 drops If you're a beginner or have sensitive skin, the most practical thing to do with any new product that will be applied to your face is to perform a patch test on your inner elbow area first. Allow for a 24-hour turnaround. If you have an allergic reaction, this is not the product for you right now; instead, try a lower strength of retinol, but make sure you know which type of retinol you're using because each one has different potencies. Grandoid retinoids, which are much gentler on the skin than retinol, may be a better option for those with sensitive skin. I've used retinols that I swear didn't contain retinol, so do your research and find the best retinol for you. Many retinol enthusiasts recommend Revitalift, which is what prompted me to purchase it. I just bought my second bottle because I adore it so much. It has a pleasant sensation on the skin and absorbs quickly. I finish with a very hydrating night cream because when using retinol, you must do two things: 1. After that, moisturize. If you're going to be outside, make sure you're wearing SPF every day. And, as others have stated, please follow the directions; it's ridiculous to post pictures of your red face warning people not to buy this product. Did you start with 1-? 2 drops twice a week, followed by a thick moisturizing cream? Do you use SPF on a daily basis? Did you notice that this is a moderately strong retinol that requires some acclimatization? The product is working if it's burning and red. You can't blame Loreal for your idiocy. They have done an excellent job of explaining this product. The serum's instructions aren't just for show. This is one of the best retinol serums available in drug stores. Please, people, use it with caution and education. Don't ruin it for the rest of the group.
My skin is quite sensitive. Although I am prohibited from using most prescription retinol products, I had dull skin and desired to use more sophisticated skincare. I decided that because it was "watered down," it probably wouldn't do much for most people, but it would at least make me feel like I was using something and would be enough to make a difference for me. I ignored the advice to use it every other day and did so three times in a row. By the fifth or sixth day, Oh my goodness, that's incredible. My skin wasn't red or irritated, but it was lightly peeling (it just appeared to be extremely dry skin). It isn't flaky or dull in appearance. It's surprisingly powerful for the price, and I'll keep using it because it does exactly what it claims and is inexpensive when compared to comparable products.
Twice a week is a good rule of thumb. Because it's difficult to know which products are doing what, I've only made one change to my skincare routine in the last three weeks: I've added this retinol serum at night and replaced my regular night cream with the samples that came with this serum. This serum absorbs so quickly into the skin that applying it to my face is a pleasure! After only a few minutes, my skin feels supple and not at all sticky or tacky. The serum isn't irritating (though, to be fair, I don't have sensitive skin), and it doesn't dry out my already moisturized skin. My brow furrows and forehead lines have become slightly less noticeable in a short period of time, but the most noticeable difference is that my dark spots have lightened significantly. Some have even faded completely, which I didn't expect! I'm guessing the retinol serum boosted the brightening properties of the glycolic acid serum I use in the morning. I'm very happy with this set of products, and I'll be keeping the L'Oréal serum in my skincare arsenal!.
I've noticed a lot of complaints about irritation and burning. I believe that the majority of people are unaware of what retinol does, which could contribute to unrealistic expectations. I expected some burning, redness, drying, cracking, and peeling after using prescription retinol cream in the past. Exfoliants, such as retinol, are used to remove dead skin cells from the skin. br>br>When I first started using this product on December 15, 21, I had sagging, bagging skin under my eyes, dark circles, and deep forehead creases. br>br>I started using this product every other day, putting it right up to my eyes and liberally all over my face. br>br>On some days, I experienced burning and redness, which would go away after about 20 minutes. br>br>It's now 2/24/21, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my dark circles and under-eye sagging. I now use this product on a daily basis, and before going to bed, I apply L'Oréal's triple powerbr>Cream to it. br>br>If you don't have any pain, you won't have any gain.
