St Tropez mouse or any other tanning mousse can be applied with this applicator. It is easy to use, just pump a couple of pumps and then apply it in circular motions. The backside of the sponge is used to wipe down corners that may have gotten a little too much mousse/foam and rub in any areas that may have gotten a little too much mousse. There is a non slip material inside it that keeps it from sliding off your hand while you are using it. The outside has a nice plush texture and the inside has a nice non stick coating. (tip of middle finger to just above wrist bone in my hand is 7 1/2"), so it covers my entire hand. I wish it were just a little bit longer but I need to carefully pull it taunt over my palm when I wear it. It is important to pull it down fully over the palm when switching hands. The application was very smooth, and the product was very All you have to do is wash it out and hang it You are ready to apply for your next position.

While I like how it spreads evenly, the tan water gets all over my fingers because it's too thin. Probably needs to have a layer of plastic or extra protection on the inside of the mitt so that it doesn't easily get on your fingers.
The double-sided nature of it is wonderful There is an advantage to having both sides, but it would be better if it was softer. If it gets matted down as soon as it is sprayed with tanner, that then effects the application of the tanning solution. Even after you wash it, it never returns to its original state.
Combined with St. Tropez bronzing mousse, this was my go-to makeup. In my experience, it is the smoothest self-service application I have ever used An investment well worth your time and money.
This product compares favorably to the original in that it is more durable, softer, distributes product more evenly, and is is easier to clean. Using the old applicator daily on my face would rip it after about a month of use, or it would break away after a month. It would also deteriorate the area where I applied self tanner, or it would release the product less evenly. The material on this one is softer and has maintained its shape and softness even after a few months of daily use. There is no doubt that I will purchase this mitt again in the future.
