I've tried a lot of other things over the years, but I'm allergic to the majority of them. My ophthalmologist recently recommended Optase Eye Gel cleanser and even gave me some samples to try, and I was blown away by not only how it made my lids/base of lashes feel, but also that it caused no allergic reaction and that the cleanser's texture is fantastic. Because I have Meibomitis, it's a gel rather than a thin, watery foam, and it's worked wonders on my eyelids and lash base. I strongly suggest that you use this product to assist you!.
My eye doctor recommended that I use this because it is gentler than some others. It's absolutely incredible. My eyes felt irritated on the lids while using Ocusoft foam; it was slight but noticeable. I've been using it in the shower for three weeks and it's fantastic. I close my eyes tightly, use one pump (I love the tea tree scent), and gently rub both my eyes and brows before rinsing. I don't have mites, but I do have posterior Bleph MGD and ocular rosacea, so keeping my lids and lashes clean helps. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and it was well worth the money.
I was getting a reaction to something I couldn't tell you about. I was waking up with flaky eyelids in one eye in particular, and that eyelid was also swollen every now and then, according to the dermatologist. Derm prescribed antibiotic cream, but when I stopped using it (as per her instructions), the problem reappeared. So I bought this cleansing gel and use it on a daily basis, and my eyelids are no longer a problem. I hope this information is useful to you.
It appears to me to be a risky situation. When I got some in my eye, it became extremely hot before I could get it out. Spreading a gel on my eyelashes to remove the crust from eye drops I used to lubricate dry eyes is extremely difficult for me. I'm supposed to rub this gel in the area where the two lashes meet! I'm not sure if I did it correctly, but I'm not going to do it again.
I go to an eye care center with a lot of doctors, so I frequently see a different Optometrist before seeing my regular Ophthalmologist. One of the Optometrists recommended Optase eyelid scrub for my blepharitis (which is moderate to severe), and I'm so glad he did. He also recommended that, because my blepharitis is severe, I use the eyelid scrub for one minute with a washcloth instead of "ten" seconds with my fingertips. This has made a significant difference in my life, and I now prefer Optase to other brands because it works and lathers better.
This product did not treat my blepharitis as well as other products, so I am unable to use it to treat it. There was no discernible tea tree effectiveness present, which was disappointing.
I was previously using a foaming product. The pump had a habit of breaking down on a regular basis. This product and delivery system has so far proven to be superior. As part of my shower routine, I use it every morning.
is more cost-effective than the pre-existing product for cleaning my eyelids. wipes that have been wet.
