The best way to cleanse the surface is by rinsing. After the salt solution is rinsed off, there is a fine layer of oils left on your skin. You can pat dry your skin if you want to, and let the oils absorb
It should be used in the shower due to its oily consistency, but keep the water off your body until you're ready to rinse off. The stuff is great during the winter months when it is dry! You're the best!
I find it to be adequately coarse, but it is not a deal breaker - Rather than my scrub brush, it's me who gets scratched. I noticed that this salt was softer once I discontinued using it. Purchase it for a much lower price in the store to see it in person.

Despite its calming properties, lavender is very much to my liking. This scrub was first given to me as a gift, and I loved it so much I couldn't get enough. There is really something special about the fragrance, scrub, and oils. I moved from a rural to a suburban area, so I no longer have access to Trader Joe's. There is no difference between Prime and other services. The ease of access to it is very important to me.
In the ones I bought at the store, lavender oil is present, but not in the one I received. Using it is not the same as using the real thing.
