Questions & Answers

Would this work as a "ring around the collar" solution (or do people have a better suggestion?) ?

After a hair color appointment, I just removed a stain that went all the way across the collar of a shirt that was at least four years old. I tried everything I could think of to get it out, but it would not budge. Although this isn't a white shirt, I've had hair color on the collars of my white lab coats. Even soaking in bleach wouldn't help. Today, I soaked the shirt's collar in water, rubbed in the Fels bar all the way across, brushed it in a circular motion with a soft brush, and then tossed it in the washer. I can't believe that shirt didn't have any stains when it came out of the washer! br>Remember, that shirt was washed and dried at least seven times. You'd think it was locked in for the rest of your life after seeing it eight times. I must say, this is extremely impressive, and I'm blown away. Everything appears to be in order. Everything has been put to use. This, I believe, is the "better" option:

Is it possible to get rid of Yellow stains that have been set in for a long time?

I've been surprised by how well it works on my husband's clothes. After working the soap into the stain, let it sit for a few minutes before washing it. This way, the stain can be worked out before washing.

I'm curious about the smell. ?

I'm not sure what it smells like, but it's a mild, clean scent that isn't obnoxious or overpowering. It's great for stains and for cleaning up after yard work to keep poison ivy at bay.

Overpriced by a large margin
3/5

I had no idea this was available for $1 at any supermarket. This place is way too expensive. Despite the fact that it performs admirably.

I bought this along with a laundry scrub brush that Amazon recommended during the checkout process. There was no trace of the stains at all.

Poison Ivy Home Remedy is a great option
5/5

For the first time in my life, I was able to avoid going to the doctor for poison ivy treatment, despite the fact that I have always needed to take a course or two of prednisone to get rid of poison ivy. Fels Naptha, on the other hand, was introduced to me during a work-related training course. Surprisingly, the majority of the reviews were for poison ivy treatment rather than laundry use. I purchased some and kept it on hand in case of another poison ivy outbreak, and I'm glad I did.

Using a vegetable peeler, shave off the amount recommended for large loads
5/5

It was put to good use in the washing machine. It removed all of the body oils from pillowcases and sheets, as well as a stain on a new shirt that had been washed but not dried, and it looked brand new. This product comes highly recommended.

This is an excellent stain-removing soap
4/5

Our stains and odors can be transferred to your hands and clothing without the use of expensive soaps. This is the old-fashioned soap that my grandmother and mother used for everything back in the day. I've been using it for over 40 years and still use it to remove stubborn stains and grease and oil from my hands. After that, a good hand cream will help to restore their smoothness. The stains will almost certainly come out in the washing machine - So there's no need for a shout or any of the other over-the-counter medications. Take a chance and try it out.

Poison ivy was no longer a problem for me
5/5

I get a rash even if I am not in direct contact with poison ivy. Fels- Poison ivy rash is almost instantly relieved when I use naptha soap. When I'm gardening and don't see the poison ivy growing, I keep a couple of bars in my medicine cabinet.
