Sulfates are bad for your hair if you use them too often. However, not for a once-a-month or so wash.
It isn't. Redken's Nature line now includes a sulfate-free All Soft shampoo. Science is a sulfate-free product line, which I confirmed with the company.
Only the Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner have been purchased by me. Only two or three times a week do I shampoo. I only use conditioner for the rest of the week. The Redken Mask is a product I've never tried before.
Color Extend comes in a red bottle, while All Soft Shampoo comes in a gold one.

The Amazon Redken Shampoo, on the other hand, has a very different consistency, and it left my hair frizzy and dry, as well as itchy on my scalp. My cosmetologist informed me that only licensed cosmetologists are permitted to purchase Redken Shampoo. Even at a Sally Beauty Supply, she claims it is not available to the general public. I do not recommend this Amazon Redken Shampoo because it made my hair frizzy and dry, and it irritated my scalp, and it was nothing like the REAL Redken Shampoo recommended by my cosmetologist.
These scams have been reported before, but I never expected it to come from the official brand page. DO NOT BUY! The bottles have been tampered with, so DO NOT BUY! My sister is also a hairdresser, so I've been using all soft for a long time. The real all soft is white with a slight yellow hue and has no clumps or streaks in it, whereas this is some fake pink cheap crap. Do not make a purchase! I don't know what product I used on my head, but it burned my scalp! I tried shampooing my hair with my regular shampoo and rinsing it out, but it didn't work. This is a complete waste of money. AWFUL!.
I'm not sure if this is a fake (my hairdresser thinks it is), but after using this product for a few days, my hair began to feel waxy. My hair was always wet on top, but it was just heavily coated with shampoo and had started sticking together. I purchased a salon-quality clarifying shampoo, and after just one use, it was completely clear. I did, however, use this shampoo again the next night just to be sure. The waxy coating reappeared the next day. I quickly threw the rest of the bottle away and have had no problems with my new shampoo since then.
I've been a fan of Redken All Soft Shampoo for about 5 years, but the formula in this bottle was incorrect or tampered with, as my hair became greasy, waxy, and sticky after just a few washes, despite washing it multiple times per day. Finally, I was able to get my hands on some greasy-looking food. By using Dawn Dish Detergent, I was able to get rid of the texture in my hair. This is the last time I'll buy shampoo from this company.
So, because I've never purchased Redkin Allsoft before, I can't speak to the efficacy of this formula, but I can say that it has transformed my hair! I absolutely adore the way this makes my hair feel. Years of bleaching had fried my hair, so I decided to dye it my natural color and let it grow out. My hair had been looking very dry and harsh, but after using this, it became much more soft and manageable right away. I'll admit, my scalp did get a few pimples along the hairline during the first week, but I have extremely sensitive skin, so any changes to my routine usually result in breakouts, so perhaps those who are complaining haven't given their skin enough time to adjust. The scent is perfect for me, and it smells exactly like salon-quality products. I purchased both the shampoo and conditioner, and I use Biosilk before blow drying my hair, and it has never felt softer.
This isn't the same as redkening. If you're used to using the salon brand, you'll notice the difference. It arrived open and leaking. It didn't even have a soft redken scent to it.

The consistency of this particular bottle of shampoo seemed to have been sitting around for quite some time, as it differed from every other bottle I'd purchased locally. Instead of being a liquid, this consistency was more like a paste. I will not buy this product online again because returns are too difficult, especially since I can get it at a Walmart salon where returns are simple.
