In a nutshell, MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BUY! Having researched it sufficiently to ensure that it was made in the United States before buying it, I thought I was safe to purchase it for my granddaughter for Christmas. I was informed by my son today that after further inspection of the kit, it was actually MADE IN CHINA! While the makeup kit is beautiful and my granddaughter loves it, the kit is actually made in China. There has been a scare today of ASBESTOS being found in makeup from China, so the makeup has been removed and will be tested for asbestos. Without any further ado, I am SICK of In the event that this hurts my granddaughter in any way, I don't know what I'll do. An item labeled "Designed in the USA" does not automatically translate into "Made in the USA". We learned from this experience.
All that said, it poses no problem at all for its size! Eyeshadows are impressive for their staying power since they go on smoothly and stay put! Originally, I didn't even know they were there until I tried to use it later because I was so excited when it arrived! I did not expect it to be that awesome, The fact that they were able to cram even MORE makeup into this tiny compact is amazing!.
