Hello Stephanie, I've been wearing this particular brand/shade on and off since 2004. Spice is my absolute favorite lip liner color, especially when paired with MAC's Lust lip glass. I have a fair to medium complexion. If you're in the same boat as me, this look is a natural/to a very light beige neutral shade when paired with the Lip glass in lust, and the lip liner has never flaked or peeled off. Unless my lips are already dry and flaky when I apply it. I hope this has been of assistance. This product is what I use to outline my lips and keep my lipstick from "running" into the few lines above them. It works great!.
I line my lips first, then fill in the rest of the lip with color. Nude to the max. It shouldn't be too pink or too brown. ish. I've been using it since 2000, and it's perfect.
This color might suit you if you prefer an orangey undertone. It was a nightmare on me, and there was no way to get it back. I highly recommend returning to drug stores and trying on makeup at makeup counters and consultants before purchasing. I misunderstood the makeup artist in the video when she said that this color looks good on almost anyone. Not me.
