Depending on your coloring, I would call it a medium shade as the number goes up. I usually buy the #1 which is very pale and as the number goes up, it gets darker

There is a difference between the color in the picture and the real color in the image, so it doesn't look natural. Around my eyes are what appear to be whitish circles. My recommendation is not to follow this.
