I use it both on short hair and wigs and I get the most beautiful curls. It doesn't take long for it to warm up, and it gives the best curls. You can use this product with any heat protectant and not have the smell of burned hair even when you are using the hottest setting. My usual curling technique is to hold each curl for a few seconds before releasing. I have finished, I will gently pull apart the curl a little to make it appear more voluminous.
