Questions & Answers

How long does it have to be on to reach maximum temperature? I also have a smaller version of the wand. I tried curling the same piece three times and it came out flat?

I believe it takes the same amount of time to heat up as the 1 inch wand, but I agree that it is less effective. Is it possible that it's simply because it's larger? However, with this wand, my hair does not hold a curl as well as it does with the smaller wand.

What is the maximum temperature of the wand?

My wand reached a temperature of around 415 degrees before it stopped working. It is now completely devoid of heat.

It's true what they say about this wand: it's a magical wand (well, not quite, but close enough)
5/5

So, I recently turned 50, and despite my mother's insistence that once you reach a certain age, you shouldn't have long hair? I currently have the longest hair I've ever had, and I absolutely adore it! That said, I'm getting a trim and highlights in a few days, but I ordered this wand two days ago based on rave reviews. I've always loved the look of the "beach" waves and had it on my wish list for a long time, but put it off because I thought it would be too much trouble. Curling irons and hot rollers have both been used in the past by me. They're nice, but I'm not a fan of the Barbie doll look (in my opinion). I'm looking for something a little more bohemian. a natural appearance Well? I got it with this wand; I'm still learning, so pardon the photos, but I've only had it for two days and I'm very pleased with the results. I'll admit that learning how to curl your hair takes some practice (which I'm still working on), but the result is fantastic and I love my hair so far! By the way, how are you? My hair was always very fine when I was a kid - Nothing would keep it in place (my mother would use bobby pins ((remember bobby pins? )) into my hair is the only thing I've done ((overnight: )) That'd make my hair curl. Now? Because of hi-tech, lites and maturing as a person? Even though my hair has more texture, curling it is still difficult - This wand is a true workhorse! I leave the wand in my hair for about 15 minutes. It only takes 20 seconds. Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions - I'm very pleased with this wand and would consider getting a thinner one (this one is orange and 1 inch, I believe) just to change things up and/or if I cut my hair: ) Not sure if this wand is right for you? Take a chance! It's a great deal, and you won't be disappointed - Keep an eye on You- If you're not sure how to use something, watch a video on YouTube:.

This curling iron is one of my favorites
5/5

This curling iron is one of my favorites. Before you buy, keep in mind the following: For the two different colors, there are two models: Pink and orange are complementary colors. The pink has a tapered shape (I own one and despise it). It's not easy for me to get the curls I want, which are loose waves. ) The orange one is NOT TAPERED, but it's 1 inch in diameter all the way down the barrel. I wasn't sure what I was going to get because the orange one's product title says it's tapered but the picture clearly isn't tapered. I specifically requested that it not be tapered, and I was pleased to receive it in that form. br>br>I have medium shoulder-length hair that is stubbornly straight (Asian hair texture, according to hair stylists, Hapa and proud ; D) and this curling iron was exactly what I needed to achieve long-lasting beachy waves in the summer. Here are a few details: br>br>
- The cord measures approximately five feet in length. br>- There are two prongs on the plug.
- br>br>Pros: barrel length is good for medium hair (total iron length is about 7 inches)br>br>Cons: barrel length is good for medium hair (total iron length is about 7 inches)br>br>
- It gets extremely hot (I'm guessing around 395 degrees)br>- It quickly heats up. br>- Curls super straight, stubborn hair far better than any other hair curling iron I've tried (mostly Conair 1" and 1" curling irons). 5" (including the clamp).
- To keep the hot iron off the counter tops, it has a stand and a protected tip. br>- The barrel size remains constant at 1" thick and is clampless, making creating beachy waves a breeze. br>- While styling your hair, the power cord swivels to prevent kinks and twists. br>br>Cons:
- does not have a heat setting, only ON or OFF (this is fine for me because I always use the highest heat, but it could be an issue for people who prefer lower heat temperatures)br>br>Overall, I love this curling iron and highly recommend it!.

For the money, this is a decent wand that works well with long hair
4/5

So I went out and purchased the 1. I used a 25-inch red wand to compare the curls/waves to my old wand (shown in the first photo). The waves made with the new wand (1. ) are visible on the blue side of my face. 25in). The waves made with the old wand (tapered, probably a half inch to an inch) were on the green side of my face. The rest of my hair is pulled back, and I only styled two sections of it. I simply wanted to make a quick comparison of the two. After allowing the sections to cool, I used my fingers to gently comb through the waves. My hair is generally thin, color-treated, and curly/wavy/frizzy/a hot mess by nature. I liked my old wand, but I wanted something with a thicker, non-tapered barrel so I could make bigger, more loose "beachy" waves. I don't think there's a huge difference in the look of both waves, but there's enough that I'm satisfied and notice a difference/get the effect I want. My hair is also pretty long (and I want it longer), so I have trouble fitting a whole section of hair on the narrower barrel. I hope this information is useful to someone!.
