You will get a tighter curl when you curl it by 1 inch. In spite of the fact that 1 1/2 is the best for big curls, I prefer this one for me as it gives a beach wave effect. When my hair is curled, it stays curled for two to three days

The price is great, and the product is great. I have been using my Babyliss 1 clamp as my go-to tool.
