I use it to rough dry my hair without any attachments and then I use the smallest round brush attachment to complete my styling. There is no way I wouldn't work on longer hair if I had a layered bob about chin length. In just the right amount, the curls give the hair some movement without being thick. In addition to being fairly thick, I have a slight wave to my hair. I can also use it for touch-ups. If you wake up during the day or after sleeping, your hair will be wet. With the dryer, the flatness of the clothes could be "fluffed" out, thus allowing me to go an extra day without washing. In Maui, I use the highest setting without getting sweaty. I live in Hawaii, so my hair needs to be dried on low heat, and the device works great without sweating. I will probably buy another one to have as a backup.
