When I used these scalp brushes with my hands for only a few minutes, my hair still didn't feel that it was leaving any marks on their roots. Even with a lot of scrubbing with them, my hair kept no marks or signs of dirt in it either. When washing my hair between washes I couldn't seem to find anything that helped my scalp remain dry. Using these scalp brushes, I would like for my hair to have an even, crisp scalp beginning with. I'll use dry shampoo, but might want to get out of that business one by one. My hand fits well into the grooves in the grooves on the brush and as a result it is a good quality brush. My kids confiscated another brush for the use in their bathroom, I have a shower caddy that I hang from the ceiling and they use it in the shower. We have this product, and it does what it claims. However, for thick hair and strong bristles, you may want a scalp brush with stronger material. Having thick hair makes it very difficult to get to my scalp. You aren't going to get the exact result in spite of the sturdy bristles. That is not a product defect. I feel like my son or husband could use it quite readily, but my life would be simpler if I used it instead. A company that provides bristle types other than rubber types could do well.

This is a good exfoliate on the scalp of my thick hair. Firm enough to perform well, but provides enough comfort to avoid being scratchy.
