I made the mistake of assuming that all edge brushes are created equal, but these brushes proved me wrong. These are best for extremely soft/fine hair edges or if you're using an edge control product that doesn't require any pressure to work through your hair, like a basic water-based gel.
The software is incredible in and of itself. It takes a lot of practice to get the edges you've laid to look natural and pretty. Aside from the review, how do you avoid damaging your edges when laying them out? / How often do you clean your edges of gel? / How do you get the gel out of your hair without causing damage to the rest of it? / And, when it comes to laying your edges, how do you keep acne at bay? (this is something I'm still learning about).
They arrived filthy at first. Powder material was leaking from the brushes as the packages were opened. Not only that, but the bristles began to shed all over the place. I recommend purchasing Camryn's edge brush for around a dollar, which has a similar look to these and is WAY more cost effective than buying a pack of bad ones. I am not angry with Amazon because I received a refund for the item.
For the job that it does, this is a reasonably priced item. With my ponytail or even when my hair is down, I enjoy creating edges. My hair is super straight and I'm Hispanic, so it gets the job done without causing me any problems. The bristles aren't rough; they're extremely soft, and they're simple to clean. To keep my brushes from becoming sloppy after a few uses, I like to clean them after each use.
I'd misplaced my previous edge brush and decided to purchase this one online. I'm glad I did. It does a fantastic job of styling my edges. My only complaint is that the comb end is a little sharp, so I can't use it as effectively as I could with my previous edge brush. However, this is an excellent product in general.
Much less expensive and with much softer bristles than the one you can buy at a beauty supply store. I paid the same price for a five-pack as one bush in the store. Once again, Amazon comes out on top, and I don't have to go to the store!.
