It's neither, to be honest! It sprays out like an aerosol, but on the hair it feels more like a powder. I've never used a better dry shampoo. I've used it two days in a row with no sticky residue! It also has a wonderful scent.
It's similar to their regular hairspray in that it's light. It quickly dissipates. It isn't floral or overpowering in any way. It's difficult to describe the smell of hairspray if you've never experienced it.
I'm a firm believer in color-treated hair.
The frequency with which you use it determines the answer. If you only use it once a week or twice a month instead of twice a month, it will obviously last longer. Three times per week is recommended. I only use it once or twice a month, and the bottle lasts me about six months. It's the only dry shampoo I've found that smells good. The others have a foul odor, while this one is delicious. It was money well spent.

You will not be sorry for making this purchase, nor will you want to live without it! I received this dry shampoo as part of a monthly sample package. So I got this as a sample product and immediately wanted more! It's far superior to any dry shampoo I've ever used! And I've tried using some of the most expensive ones available. From now on, I'm not going to use anything else. There is no "powdery" residue on the surface. It detangles and smooths your hair, as well as removing any greasy conditions it may have, and I think it's great for in-between shampoos. Hair that should not be washed as frequently as it should be due to the loss of natural oils. and for me in particular. It's been a lifesaver for me because I've been sick and can't stand taking a shower. This dry shampoo, in my opinion, adds volume to the hair and makes it look healthy and, most importantly, clean! This is something I would strongly recommend, and I will not be without it!.
The scent is really nice (I'm not a fan of baby powder smells, etc. ), and it actually makes your hair smell like it's just been washed. RESIDUE IS EXTREMELY RARE; Many other brands claim to leave no residue but still leave a chalky film or make your hair feel more weighed down at the roots (that gritty feeling), but Amika does the exact opposite; I've also tried several brands that made my hair feel more oily than before I applied it, which I find insane. This leaves my hair feeling lightweight, clean, and smelling refreshed the next day, as if I just re-styled it. I have very straight hair with no texture that gets oily easily, and this leaves it feeling lightweight, clean, and smelling refreshed the next day, as if I just re-styled it. It was washed. If you've had similar problems to me, I strongly advise you to try it. It's also worth the money because you don't have to put in a lot of effort to get the results you want.
I've tried dry shampoos before and always thought they were a waste of money. Because my hair is fine and thin, no other dry shampoo has ever worked for me, but this one does. My hair now appears thicker and healthier than it did three days ago, and it also smells nice. It's pricey, but it's a good investment. Let's see how long the bottle keeps me going. That's the only thing on my mind right now.
EDIT: After a month of use, I've discovered a MUCH BETTER product that works just as well and has almost no scent, so I'm downgrading my rating from 5 to 2. "Hask," a product available at Sally Beauty and on Amazon, is the name of the item. Their Argan variety has almost no scent and performs just as well as Amika at a third of the cost! I'm very sensitive to fragrances, and the Hask Argan (not the other scents) has almost no scent! ORIGINAL: ORIGINAL ORIGINAL ORIGINAL ORIGINAL ORIGINAL I don't care for the scent (but then again, I don't care for any kind of fragrance in hair products), but I can live with it in comparison to the other dry shampoos; I've discovered that depending on how I apply it, the scent isn't as strong! My hair actually LOOKS CLEANER in this one, which sets it apart from the rest. It is a true oil absorber. I have thick, naturally wavy hair, and I get partial Brazilian Blow Out treatments to straighten the back (my top stays straight and oily when my hair is shorter). My hair becomes oily and needs to be washed after only three days if I do not use a dry shampoo. There is no residue if I spray this 8 inches away from my roots. There is some white residue if I spray it at a distance of less than 8 inches. I spray it in, go do something else to let it dry completely, and then brush it through my hair, which makes my hair look cleaner. I've been going for over a year and a half. It's been 5 weeks since I've washed my hair, and it's been great for my color and Brazilian treatment! I'm sure I could go longer without washing, but I haven't tried it yet.
I usually use a low-cost dry shampoo that does a good job, but after hearing so many people rave about this product, I figured I was missing out. It never goes on sale, so I finally gave in and paid the ridiculous $25 in the hopes of seeing a significant improvement in quality and/or effectiveness. Well, it worked fine, and no chalky residue was left behind, so that's a plus. But it's not worth that much money when I can get very similar results with drugstore products (seriously! ). ) for a fraction of the cost; not only that, but I'm almost out of this can, and it's suddenly stopped spraying. Is it possible that the propellant/aerosol supply ran out or expired? But now I'm out $25 for a product I only used half of and wasn't particularly impressed with. And, of course, I was too late to return. I'm not going to buy anything else in the future. It was a valuable lesson.
I really like it. There's no residue, and your scalp isn't irritated.
I'm writing this review with trepidation. My hair looked great after using this product. I have thin, coily, fluffy hair, which I style once a week. That is to say, by the morning of the third day, I will require a dry shampoo for my roots. Unfortunately, I had to stop using it because it was causing me to scab and bleed due to the intense itching. The itching would last for days, even after I had washed and conditioned my hair. I began to notice significant hair loss as well. My hair fell out less after I stopped using it, and my head stopped itching. It has a pleasant scent, but if your head begins to itch, I strongly advise you to discontinue use. It took nearly a month for me to regain my sense of normalcy.
It's returnable, but it stinks like hell. This product claimed to leave no white residue and to remove oil, but it was the worst dry shampoo I've ever used. I decided to give it a try based on the product description and reviews, but I believe they are misleading: it leaves the worst white residue, the aresol makes your hair wet (literally), and the smell is obnoxious! This product, despite the fact that it claims to be non-toxic, is a complete nightmare for me. It's also returnable, so you might be squandering $30.
