It is exactly as you said. To help your foil stay in place, fold the top of your foil about 1/2 inch to give it more staying power. You will find this paddle works wonders! In particular, if your hair is long! If your hair is shorter, you should use a paddle that is shorter.

Nothing to worry about, it's smooth as silk! don't use it much seeing as how I work with many hair clients and long hair wigs, so it's a little useless. However, I love the brush!

My time spent cleaning it has been more than my time spent It was so exciting to buy the brush, but now the handle is covered in an oily sticky residue no matter what I do.
I found this board to be very well made, but the brush was permanently glued to it upon unpacking. I have been trying to remove the glue with goo gone, but it is so sticky that I can't seem to get it There is no way I can avoid returning it because the foils will stick to the board if the glue doesn't come off. I am disappointed. Not to mention that the brush is in rough shape as well. Well, i guess some things you just have to.
This product worked great, it was easy to use (I managed to perform a good balayage by myself), and it was of excellent My money was better spent on this, as I would have had to spend $200 at a salon otherwise. Although the board can be a bit unwieldy at times, I can fully understand how people with longer hair would benefit from this feature. You have to be brave and learn how to do these things on your own! Getting your hair cut is never as difficult as you expect, and no matter what, you can always cut it again.

To be honest, I suppose it's pretty good. I wish it was a bit longer or had teeth at the end, but it does what it's supposed to do. There is no doubt that this is a high-quality product at an affordable price.
