It comes out easily if you use needlenose pliers and bend it back. My kids have had these put in a few times over the years, and we've never had a problem with the hair breaking.
Yes, they can be washed in your hair. A CURLING OR FLAT IRON SHOULD NOT BE USED! This is synthetic hair (plastic), and if you do this, it will melt into your hair! Use a blow dryer without the heat setting; if you have a blow dryer with the cold setting, that should suffice, but it may cause frizz. Water, air drying, or hair spray if it gets kinky are the best ways to style it. br>br>Another tip is to keep the crimping bead (which holds the hair in place) on for no more than 4 weeks. If the hair in the bead area cannot dry properly, it will become dry, break, or mold.
Beads and a hook tool can be used to make this project. Make a hairstyle with a synthetic feather.

These weren't feathers, by the way. They're colored strands of wig hair or something like that. I was underwhelmed and sent them back.
I adore how frayed they are, with not a single stiff feather in sight. It's similar to putting in a feathered hair extension. Heat should not be used on them, but they are a good hair accessory otherwise.
They're very adorable. They don't resemble feathers at all; instead, they resemble colored hair strands. Which is ideal if you simply want a change of pace.
Only 50 blonde beads were included, and there were no pliers. Everything else was fine; the blonde would not have bothered me if I hadn't been a brunette.
It was exactly as described. They lasted for 2 weeks after I took them out. I've been doing hair for 7 years and these are the exact hair feathers used by salons.
In other words, the kids think they're "cool," but I don't. They complement real feathers better.
The breads aren't the best and the feathers aren't real, but my little kids didn't seem to mind.
