You can make it as tight as you like. These clips are appealing to me because they are both functional and durable. I'm a big hairy guy!
They don't have any rubber, to be sure. But, because I have thick hair, these clips are perfect for me. I haven't had anything like them in a long time.

I've tried a lot of claw clips over the years, and none of them would hold my hair unless I put it in a pony first. My hair is long but very fine, so I gave up after a while, but I recently decided to give it another try. I bought these on a whim and they're the best claw clips for those of us with thin fine hair, but they'll be too big if your hair is short. These are perfect for my hair, which reaches my tailbone. They stay put all day without the use of a ponytail or Bobby pins.
The clips arrived in the mail and appear to have been used; they are all scratched, one has black marks on it, and another appears to be covered in oil. To be honest, it's revolting. Very let down.
They never poke or fall out of my head. All of my hair is held in place by them! My hair isn't particularly thick. They are, however, quite lovely. I waited a few months before writing this to ensure they wouldn't fall apart too soon.
I've experimented with a plethora of claw clips. They never stay in place, so I have to adjust them all the time. THESE BAD BOYS, ON THE OTHER HAND, ARE NOT ONE OF THEM! They're perfect, and they only just slide down. I might have to re-adjust it once if I wear it for the entire day. My hair is fine and thin, and it falls a few inches past my shoulders. I purchased the medium size amber series as a reference. The colors are good neutrals; they aren't my first choice, but they didn't have many options in the mediums when I ordered.

Most claw clips require me to wrap my hair in an unusual manner in order for it to fit, and I end up having to redo it several times throughout the day. These clips are large enough to hold all of my hair, and I only have to do it once in the morning to keep it in place for the entire day! These come highly recommended by me!.
