Hello, and thank you for your inquiry. ) The Satin Dream Shower Cap should be flattened once you receive it in the mail from Amazon, and it should measure about 15 inches from end to end. In comparison to regular shower caps, this is enormous. The elastic opening has a normal diameter of about 9 inches, but when fully extended, it can stretch to a massive 20 inches. One thing to keep in mind is that the shower cap not only stretches around the headband, but it can also be adjusted to your exact head size for complete comfort, simply by using the toggle to decrease or increase the size to your liking. Other shower caps lack the versatility of this one, and it has proven to be so effective that we are developing a regular (Large) size for hair with less volume. Hello and thank you for your thoughtful question; the answer is yes to both. However, due to the fact that both shower caps are adjustable and can fit a wide range of head sizes, the circumference of the opening is only slightly different between the two options. As you mentioned earlier about hair length, the main difference is in volume. The large version is designed for people with short to medium hair lengths, while the extra large version is designed for people with very long hair, braids, dreadlocks, and frequent hair style changes. Another option is to use Amazon's trade-in program, which allows you to exchange an item for a different size if it doesn't fit. Selected User Reviews For XL Shower Cap - Adjustable & WaterProof By Simply Elegant: The Satin Dream Jumbo ShowerCap X-Large and Extra Cute - The Best in Long Hair Products & Protection (Patented)
What I got doesn't match the description and looks nothing like the first cap (for which the description is accurate). The lining is made of a hard material rather than satin. This cap, too, did not appear to be an XL, but rather a smaller size. I gave it away to a friend because returning it is a pain, but I'm extremely disappointed and hesitant to order another. The top reviews appear to be a little out of date - This cap has definitely changed, and I know because I ordered the exact same thing (vendor, description, etc. ) not long ago. This description should be updated so that buyers are aware of what they are purchasing!.
This purchase is not identical to the previous one. I bought this product about 9 months ago and have been using it every day since then! The bonnet is so big that it can fit almost any hairstyle (including rollersets, box braids, and faux locs). I like how the drawstring can be used to adjust the circumference. For added protection, the inside of the cap is lined with satin. br>br>This is why I'm deducting two stars from my rating. I recently re-read a book. When I visit my second home, I ordered this product to keep there. This is not the same product; the seller is misrepresenting this shower cap as satin-finish. When it's not lined, it's a mess. I got a shower cap that looks the same, but it's made of thinner plastic than the one I got before, and it's not lined with satin. That's a shame because I really like that feature. I'm disappointed that I paid the same price for a much lower-quality product than I did for my previous purchase. The seller should be ashamed for continuing to market the item as satin-finish. lined.
My dreadlocks are long and full, so it's big enough. It was adequate in size, but there was no more space. That's exactly what I was hoping for. br>Satin lining on a soft, durable plastic. The drawstring on the side caught me off guard; it's a nice touch.
It's well-made, and as an added bonus, I can tell that this company knows and understands their market because the shower cap is lined with satin to keep my hair moisturized and looking its best. It was also a plus that the product arrived early. I'm not a fan of two things. The drawstring is number one. I'd prefer it if I didn't have to tighten it every time I used it, but I imagine that with our thick hair, the shower cap needed to be secured in some way. Despite my dislike for it, I believe that this company carefully considered their product and created one that is suitable for all (personal preference notwithstanding). (2) the MAJOR branding on the shower cap's top. It simply does not appeal to me. These are, however, two personal preferences that have no bearing on my decision to give them a 5-star rating. Because, in the end, the product does what it's supposed to do, it gets a five-star rating. Every day, without fail, I use it. It's a huge success, and I hope my two criticisms don't offend the owner, because I know how harsh people can be. That's not what I'm going for.
I like the adjustable toggle because it allows me to cinch it around my hairline and keep any water out. The silk lining also helps to prevent frizziness, which I like. I'm not sure how I survived before I had this shower cap, but I'm glad I don't have to anymore. It is, in my opinion, well worth the money. From now on, I'm only going to buy this shower cap. It's comfortable to wear, secure without being constrictive, and most importantly, it keeps my hair completely dry. If you have trouble keeping those tiny shower caps on your head or getting all of your hair into them, this is the one to try. You'll be overjoyed that you did!
Oh! I also like how it comes with a hook so I can hang it! So considerate and practical!.
I am a black woman with natural hair who enjoys wearing puffy or long protective hairstyles like crochet curls and braids. When I shower, it's very difficult for me to keep my hair covered. I usually have to wear two plastic shower caps because they don't fit or shift during the shower, resulting in my hair getting wet. I had been eyeing this item for quite some time before deciding to buy it. It's a fantastic product that perfectly fits my needs. It's satin lined, which means it won't irritate my hair. The drawstring is my favorite part - ensures that everything is in its proper place. It doesn't move around. It came in attractive packaging and included a drying hook.
I bought it because I needed a shower cap big enough to cover my sisterlocks, which are long and thick. Despite the fact that it was on the pricey side for a shower cap, I bought it because it claimed to be extra large and the drawstring appealed to me. It was bigger than most, but not nearly as big as I had anticipated. It's not nearly as big as it appears in the photos. It is, however, very sturdy, as one would expect given the price, and I like that the drawstring can be adjusted. Because it still doesn't cover all of my hair, I'm hoping it will last me a while until I outgrow it. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I stuffed my hair in it after figuring out how to do it: This shower cap is still going strong after all these years. Without a doubt, the best shower cap I've ever owned!.
