Questions & Answers
It's not a particularly large one. Spraying is a smaller one.
I'm pretty sure that's the case.
True, but there's a good reason for it. The original label is 'old,' while the term 'unisex' is new and trendy. It is, in fact, unisex. I'm using a bottle from my grandson's dresser at the moment.
It isn't the case.
Selected User Reviews For 4711 by Muelhens Original Eau de Cologne 13.5 fl oz (400 ml)
The original cologne is 4711, and it is still available today. The name is derived from the street address of a monastery in Cologne, Germany, which was founded before Napoleon's reign. It's a cologne with a citrus base. It has a light and refreshing scent that is ideal for summer.
It takes about 20 minutes to complete. It's completely undetectable after that. I can smother myself in this stuff for 20 minutes and still smell like nothing. This is most likely the reason for the large size of the bottle. If you don't mind splashing yourself every half hour, this isn't the drink for you. It has an orange blossom water-like scent to it. I use orange blossom water in deserts, and I'm sure a little of that would smell similar and last much longer if you sprayed it on yourself.
This 4711 has been used for freshly washed sheets and towels. I go through about two bottles per year, mostly during the summer. It smells like new towels and clean laundry closets.
For four minutes, it smells fantastic. Another reviewer estimated that it would last only 20 minutes. To get closer to the truth, you'd need to multiply that number by five. It smells good, but it's not a cologne. br>br> It only takes four minutes of aromatherapy to feel better.
For more than four decades, I've used this as an after-shower splash. Europe was the first place where I discovered it. br>It's so pleasant, fresh, and clean- In my bag, I have a small plastic bottle of it. br>The bottle was twice the size I usually get locally and was the same price. br>It was also used as an aftershave by my late husband.
The scent is very green and citrusy, and it smells much better after it has been warmed up on your skin. br>br>I'm a high school history teacher, and I came across this little gem while looking for ways to teach Napoleon. This is THE cologne from which all others are named. Napoleon is said to have brushed himself in it and brought crates of it into the country. We used it as a mental break and a chance for my students to smell history for a change. We detected notes of lemon, pine, freshly cut grass, and other fresh scents; one student commented that it smelled like spring, and I couldn't agree more!.

This along with the ingredients used to create it has a significant influence on how long a fragrance lasts
Because this is an EDC, don't expect it to last very long. It's a refresher, and it's intended to be used frequently and liberally. You will not be disappointed if you remember this. Regardless of the difference between this and an EDT or EDP, you can still enjoy the citrusy freshness 4711 offers. br>br>The aroma is a classic one, and other reviews contain the notes people notice the most. For good reason, it's a classic.
I'm sorry, but this cologne disappointed me greatly; the scent is lovely, but it only lasts a few seconds. How come the company hasn't invested in the scent's longevity? I tried the splash, which I liked but had the same issue with, and I'm not sure how they've managed to stay in business this long.
