The problem with purchasing gems online is that you can't see them in person to see how they sparkle. Furthermore, if you are on a tight budget and cannot afford Swarovski, you are taking a huge risk. Add in deceptive reviews, poor image quality of online photos, and people's proclivity for being either overly critical or outright lying, and you've got yourself a problem. Regardless, I decided to take a chance on these (thanks to Amazon). I ordered a different shade of these in a regular gem (without the AB effect) previously. It failed to impress. Although it was labeled as sunflower, it appears to be dull amber in appearance. br>br>For this order, I chose Aquamarine AB (AB is a color-coded version of Aquamarine). (The effect of shifting). So, if you're going to go with this company, get a gem that says "AB" in the description. The aquamarine AB gem shifts from a pretty Caribbean blue to a royal peacock blue, masking any imperfections or dullness in shine. It also has a touch of green and purple in it. It's incredibly lovely. br>br>Let's move on to the next step: It won't *SPARKLE* at you when it comes out of the bag like Swarovski does, but — duh — it isn't Swarovski. Each gem is round and free of flaws (such as extra junk on the sides or gems that have been cut in half), and you get a boatload of them. They're all packaged in small pods based on their size (which is convenient), but the pods aren't resealable. To store your jewelry, I recommend getting some small ziplock snack bags. br>br>In general, I'd say these are among the best at this price point and for this quantity. br>Recommended.
Colors change from a lovely blue to a lovely red to a lovely gold. The sky is blue. Blue is the most prominent color, with red and gold colors changing depending on angle and lighting. I'm hoping the AB coating will hold up to wear and tear. For added protection, I'll apply a clear coat. br>br>I only use crystals for blinging figurines, purses, shoes, and other small items; I don't use the tiniest crystals (which are tiny) because the next size up is small enough to fill in gaps. This size range is ideal for nail art. br>br>To make the clutch shown, you'll need four to five packs. br>br>In exchange for this review, I did not receive any discounts or free products.
I was really looking forward to this because I'd heard great things about Jollin rhinestones, but I'm really disappointed. It claims to have 576 rhinestones in various sizes, but I put each size into tiny glass jars (2 bags) and this is how it looks; I also blinged a pen, but it didn't cover the pen! Only 479 SS12 rhinestones were in two bags combined, rather than the claimed 576, and I'm 97 rhinestones short. I know how many rhinestones it has because each row takes 11 rhinestones, and my pen has 43 rows. Because there isn't enough rhinestones to cover another row, I have 6 rhinestones sitting around. I am extremely dissatisfied with this purchase. Guys, be careful with your money and spend it somewhere else.
They're nice and shiny, but I'm not sure how good they are. I've ordered from other sellers, and their products are far superior in quality. This color is nice, but I'm not sure how the other two I ordered will turn out.
The rhinestones are exactly as they appear in the picture. I had no idea how small ss4 was until I saw it in person. ss12- is something I'm used to. I had no use for the two smallest sizes, according to ss20. I may do so in the future, but not for the project for which I purchased them. They are ideal for glass rhinestones because they shine beautifully. So far, Jollin is my favorite brand; I used these to fill in the plumeria flower I had drawn on a Starbucks tumbler, then used the black to outline it and filled in the rest with Jollin brand AB crystal ss20. My cup is fantastic! It catches the light and reflects it beautifully.
Because they stubbornly cling to the plastic, getting all of them out of each pocket takes a while. br>They're mostly a golden green with pink and blue/violet flashes. (In person, I see a lot more pink and blue than the photo depicts. ) ) They're not the color I was hoping for. They are, however, bright, shiny, and glistening to the max. I'm sure I'll find a use for them eventually, because I adore sparkles and am always making some kind of craft. I ordered them for a project, but they weren't for it.
