Is it possible to use these with gel lighting?

Yes, and they're incredibly attractive! However, if the stars were only covered with a clear gel top coat, the edges of the stars popped up after a few days. Because they are sharp, I filed them down as they happened. My nail technician advised that putting in the acrylic rather than using it as a sticker on top and then coating it with clear would be preferable.

There's glitter all over the place

The stars are super cute and shiny, but be cautious when opening the package because the lids on each individual container are not secure, resulting in glitter stars all over the place. My couch and carpet have been strewn all over. The item will not be replaced by Amazon customer service. They provide no customer service, and as a result, my carpet and furniture are covered in glitter. Amazon is to be commended.

Sit at a table to make sure the lids are securely fastened. I had no idea they weren't self-stick. I should've known, but they have to be applied one at a time with tweezers on a wet nail, followed by a clear coat. They snagged on fabric, so I didn't like them on my fingers. It's most likely something I'm doing, but they're still adorably adorable.

Individual pieces can be used to decorate your nails. They're a tad too big to completely cover your entire nail without causing bumps. They did, however, make wonderful accent pieces for small glitter polishes.
