Questions & Answers
How do you get it off your nail after you've applied it? No, I don't believe that is the case. To use as a monomer in a product? I've never tried it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Yes. Acrylic powder is what it is.
You. For the natural nail, you'll need nail liquid (monomer), primer, and a dehydrator in addition to this acrylic powder (polymer). To begin, I recommend getting a Kolinsky brush in a size 8. Look up videos on YouTube or send me a DM on Instagram @stickittothenail.

It's difficult to get the right ratio, and once you do, it's still difficult; it dries very quickly, and when I say fast, I mean so quickly that I don't even have time to dip my brush back into my monomer to wet it. My acrylic was lumpy, so I had to file it down a lot. It's not something I'd buy again.
Because of this, I rarely do solid white nails (the center of the nail has a really white center and the rest isn't as pigmented), but I do use it as a background for ombré, marbling, inking, or any other type of design. I also use it because I make my own colored acrylics, so I add a little of this when I need a pastel.
I own a lot of other Mia Secret products and am very pleased with them all. I have a lot of the different colored acrylics; the only one I didn't have was the White, which I was excited to try because I figured that since all of their other colors were great to work with, the white would be as well, but it's just awful. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, but it was literally so thick and chunky that it was very difficult to work with, and it dried very quickly, which is odd because the other acrylics I have from Mia Secret are very easy to work with and manageable, and this white was very different from any of them. I'll probably buy another small container of the white to give it a try just to see if maybe it was a container that I got that was incooperative. and-tested was pretty bad. I'll update my review once I receive my second white container in the mail and have a chance to try it and compare it.
Blending is simple enough. Beads in large sizes are difficult to come by. It is simple to use. However, finding a large bead can be difficult. If you're good at blending, this shouldn't be a problem. It took a while for it to dry. For a few minutes, it was actually quite adaptable. It was easy for me to use it to make French tips using a form. I'm still learning how to do nails, but this is one of the more professional brands I've worked with thus far.
I own a lot of Mia secret colors and highly recommend them. I used it for the second time yesterday. The first time was horrible and difficult to work with, but once I was under good lighting and figured out the correct powder to monomer ratio, it was very pigmented and I used smaller beads and it worked great. You only have to play with it a few times to realize how wonderful it is. It's really white and pigmented, and I adore it. I've bought all of the colors and a lot of the collection colors and I'm in love with this brand; I definitely recommend it to beginners and nail techs; all of their products are great, and I'll keep buying them.
It's simple to use.
I love Mia secret products, and I bought this white acrylic with full confidence and excitement because it had amazing reviews, and I have every other color, all of which work great. I have all of Mia secret's other colors, and they're great, so naturally I assumed this one would be just as good, but this product is horrible and impossible to work with, it has an odd texture when applying it, and it dries almost instantly! When I say "immediately," I mean I didn't even have time to clean my brush before returning it to the nail to apply the acrylic. While I was trying to apply the acrylic, my client complained that it was heating up and making him uncomfortable. I really wanted this product to work for my ombre and French tip girls, but it didn't, so I'm returning it and switching to another brand. Sorry for the negative review, but I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I went through.
Mine is a 4 oz jar that came sealed (which is crucial for product protection during shipping) and contains my favorite white polymer powder. This was the cheapest item I could find on Amazon or eBay. Perfect and exceedingly satisfying in terms of anticipations!.
