Yes, it has a strong odor, just like any other acrylic nail product.
I'm still a novice when it comes to acrylic nail application, and this powder allows me to take my time. I'd say it takes a medium amount of time to set, but this is dependent on the weather. If it's humid or raining, and there's a lot of moisture in the air, it'll take longer to set, but if it's dry and windy, it'll set much faster, as I discovered the hard way during the Santa Ana winds. Because of the dry, windy heat, the acrylic set quickly, and I'm still not a pro at applying it, it was difficult to work with. So, before applying, keep an eye on the weather and start with a small amount on your brush.
For the most part, these stayed put. Sally's brand is far superior to any other I've used. After a week or so, one or two of them fell off, but this was due to user error during the application process.

I only recently began attempting to paint my nails. I bought a lot of gels (madam glam, venalisa, etc. ) and they were all terrible at staying on for more than a day. By the way, I tried both tips and dual forms). This is the best thing I've ever bought, and I tried it with tips. It's an absolute must-have. There will be no lifting, breaking, or other activities allowed. Despite the fact that it was the first time in my 30 years of life that I had even touched acrylic (I had always had my nails done by others), This was incredibly simple to work with. It didn't dry right away, so if I needed to touch up something after moving on to the next finger, I could go back and try to improve it. The only suggestion I have is to make sure you have everything you need out at the same time. Because if your brush sits in the monomer for a few minutes without being used, it will be difficult to remove the acrylic once it has dried. (It took a couple of hairs off my Kolinsky alpha brush before I realized I needed to soak it in acetone to remove it lol). I'm kicking myself for not purchasing this prior to purchasing all of the gels that are now collecting dust in my drawers - I'm going to buy all of Mia Secret's colors. It's incredible!.

No lifting for the next two weeks! So far, I've only used it once and I'm very pleased with it! I've only been doing acrylics for a little over a year. I've always had a lot of trouble with lifting, no matter what brand I used or how well my nail base was prepared (I've only used three or four brands, all from Sally's, and lifting can start anywhere from a few hours to a few days-- A set never lasts me more than a week without needing to be repaired). This product is by far the best I've ever used! It's been about two weeks, and I've only had two of my ten middle finger nails lifted in the last two days (one was my fault when I jammed my finger). I replaced those two, and none of the others have been lifted in any way. The quality of the product is excellent. I'll buy it again, and I'm thinking I should get rid of the rest of my brands. br>br>*Update: br>br> This isn't a big deal for me because I always paint dark colors, but this acrylic turns yellow as it dries on my nail, making it look really bad. I would be embarrassed to use this as a natural or transparent color because it looks so bad on its own.
I'm new to this, so I got this to practice with; some products dry quickly, while others take a long time to dry. Working on this didn't make me feel rushed. I was surprised by how large the bottles were. Excellent purchase.
I used to work on planes in the military, and I've also built aircraft parts. My father worked in the automotive industry. Friends, I've caught a whiff of something strange. This monomer is on par with the stuff we used to clean carbon fiber composite molding tools and degrease landing gear. It's not a laughing matter. It's on par with pure ether in terms of power. Before gassing my daughter, I was able to perfect a fill on one nail. Because the odor was so strong, she came out of her bedroom and into the living room (having to turn a corner and walk down a hallway) because she thought I had gotten into the carburetor cleaner and passed out. She was light-headed and nauseated, and she wasn't even in the same room with me! It was 2 a. m. , and she was fast asleep. To catch a cross-country flight, I had to open several windows. The house will be ventilated by a breeze. Just for a single fill on a single nail! I think it's shady when licensed technicians can buy equipment that they can use for hours, but the home use equipment would most likely kill the canary next door. I ignored the negative reviews about the odor because I'm used to working with hazardous materials, and now I'm sorry. As a professional who continues to take annual hazmat certification courses, I do not believe this product is safe for home use, and I would not recommend it to anyone who has small animals or children. It is extremely hazardous.
I go to the gym every day and change diapers for four kids, so the fact that it's lasted a month despite all of that is incredible.
To be honest, I'm completely awestruck by the quality of this product. It was wrapped in so much bubble wrap when I first opened it, and I was so thankful it didn't spill or anything because it was so tightly sealed. This is definitely salon-quality, and I really like it. If I could, I would give it a higher rating than 5 stars. Thank you(-) for filling the jar to the brim and ensuring that it lasts a long time. I've never made a better decision in my life.
It has good strength and does not take long to dry. It is also simple to use. However, it does not have a pleasant odor. It does, however, have the smell of an acrylic monomer. Overall, a top-notch item.
