The instructions were followed exactly as written and I did 2 dips instead of 3. The dips are three. I found two dips to be sufficient for me. There is no reason why 3 dips should be thicker. Despite my desire to try a different color after 11 days, the nails remained intact and there were no chips on the nails. The first few times I tried, I didn't succeed, but eventually I followed the steps and was surprised at how good it looked. It was great to see them. After the chipping was done, they started chipping again three hours later. It means a lot to me! I am so sad about that. It was impossible to file the chipping down or patch it up as it got worse.
