On the back of the bottle you can see "Sodium Laureth Sulfate" as one of the ingredients. I assume that the chemical is sulfate-containing based on those data.
I do not believe it does. My daughter has used both of these and the cucumber one to clean her water and they do not change the color. My daughter loves it. I put one cap full in the bottle, so the bottle can last a while.

My response might be unmanly for a man to say that he really enjoys On occasion, I enjoy this in a tub of hot water as a 70 year old man. In addition to having both hips replaced, I also suffer from a bad knee and kidney stones since I was 25 years old. My body loves bubbles, so every now and then, I run a hot tub of bubble filled water. While bubbles themselves are not as important as what they do in the tub, that is the most important part. While we normally take our showers in the tub, my wife always uses baby oil or another slick liquid when she gets out of the tub. As a result, there is sometimes a slick feeling in the tub and it causes me discomfort while I soak. The bubble bath eliminates all the oil left in the tub and gives me a feeling of cleanliness when I get out. It's also much more bearable to deal with some pain in the knees, hips and kidneys.
