In theory, this product is great, but in practice, it falls short. The pivot feature was a selling point for me, but after installing it, I quickly realized that it is the product's downfall. It causes the mirror to vibrate in time with the car's motions, making it nearly impossible to see what my baby is up to in the backseat. I'm not sure if it would have been more stable in another vehicle, but it didn't work for me. br>However, the mirror is very simple to put together, is quite sturdy, and has a pleasing aesthetic design, so it does have that going for it.
Another mirror in our car previously broke when I was driving with the windows down. Other mirrors are not as well made as this one. Like most other mirrors, it fastens to the headrest with two straps. The only difference is that the base and arm are both made of one piece of plastic. The arm on our previous mirror, as well as the majority of those listed on Amazon, is a separate piece that must be clicked into place on the base. That's the point at which it all went wrong. Looking at other mirror reviews, it appears that this is a common flaw. br>br>In addition to appearing to be more durable, the mirror also appears to be more stable, with the mirror's angle remaining constant. br>br>Everything was already put together, which was convenient.
The mirror is adjustable and has a large surface area, allowing you to place it wherever you want it. It appears to be well-made and long-lasting. To install properly, you'll need an adjustable headrest.
Munchkin's product is sturdy, and the mirror is a good size for seeing baby. The material is thick and sturdy, and the straps for attaching it can be easily adjusted as needed. The only drawback is that it only works with height-adjustable headrests and not with pre-fused headrests.
Great quality, and it fits our newborn perfectly. If you have an active, kick-happy toddler, however, you should avoid using it. Our toddler became enamored with the mirror, kicking it and moving it all over the place, defeating the purpose of it being set up to watch her. We're still satisfied with it because Newborn won't be able to reach it for a long time. It's also durable; br>br> For a few weeks, toddler demonstrated this by kicking hard.
It's a good size, and it's simple to put together. I like how I can adjust it to get the best possible view of my child. It is, however, very portable. When I put my child in the car seat and she kicks the mirror, it moves and I have to reposition it so that I can see her. Aside from that, it's a perfectly clear mirror. We also purchased a second one for my husband's pickup truck.
This is the one I bought, and it works great and stays put. My only gripe has nothing to do with the product. Because the center headrest on my VW Tiguan isn't very big, this mirror blocks a lot of my view out the back window.
