I tried for over a month to get my daughter to fit comfortably in the swing by strategically placing a blanket in it, but it never worked. I finally gave in and bought the newborn insert, and I was ecstatic with how well it fit her in the MamoRoo. She, too, appeared to be much more at ease! br>br>So you're probably wondering why there are only three stars? br>br>First and foremost, a MamaRoo, as expensive as it is, should come with this newborn insert; almost every other swing you'll buy comes with a newborn insert, because who wouldn't use their swing for a newborn? br>Secondly, while the insert is great, it will only fit your baby for a very short time; this wouldn't be a problem if it came with the swing, but my daughter is only 3 months old (and very petite), and she is already almost too long for the insert, so I basically paid $30 to use an insert for about 2 months. Overall, if you plan to use your MamaRoo with your newborn, this is a must-have. So, if you buy it, you won't be dissatisfied with how it performs. So, in my opinion, this is a fantastic product, but it's a shame that it's not sold with the swing.
My first gripe is that it misleads you into thinking it's a two-pack, even though it's advertised as "$15 per count," and the photos made it appear as if I was getting two. The other one I got said "reversible" and didn't say "per count" to confuse me. The 4moms one is just so cheap and thin, and it's not very soft at all, whereas my Farnodbaby insert is very soft, plush, and thick, and provides much more support; this 4moms insert is so small that you'll never get your money's worth because babies grow so quickly, whereas the other one I have is actually big enough to use for a longer time (and I've been able to fit the Farnodbaby insert The Farnodbaby one also has two loops for holding toys, which my son loved. I'm also disappointed with the pattern on the 4 Moms insert, which is basically the same pattern on both sides because the other side is just a black and white version of the colored side. My Farnodbaby insert has really bright cute blue and gray stripes on one side and a completely different gray star pattern on the other side; I'm very disappointed in my purchase of the 4 moms insert and wish I hadn't wasted the money on it; my Farnodbaby insert is far superior to this one and I highly recommend trying it over the 4 moms one.
This insert disappointed us because our newborn weighed 8 pounds and measured 21 inches; Don't waste your money on this insert because it's too short, too small, and TOO FLAT to be of any use. To aid in the Mamaroo, a standard newborn head/body insert, such as you'd find in an infant car seat, stroller, or other similar item, would be a better option. (And, yes, it's absurd that 4Moms doesn't include a head support with the Mamaroo, which is already quite expensive!).
The insert for the rocker was shown in the photos. I thought I ordered the correct item, but I only received the insert; however, I'm a man, and it's my fault that I ordered the incorrect item. However, I have a 6-week-old baby, and when I told my baby momma about this, she was shocked. So, now that I've gotten myself into trouble, I'm wasting money on Amazon again, buying stupid things. I told her it wasn't a big deal and that I'd just order the correct one and keep the insert for the next child. I was trying to explain why I bought it. (I was joking when I said I don't want any more children. ) ) It didn't matter because she was so excited that her eyes lit up. Men, I made a blunder; don't make the same mistake I did.
We purchased a Mamaroo for our two children. I realized we needed the insert when he was 5 months old, so I ordered one right away and used the insert from his carseat until it arrived. Unfortunately, the Mamaroo insert does not fit him as well; he is far too tall. Obviously, it's designed for a newborn, but given the Mamaroo seat's shape, I'm a little disappointed that it won't fit larger babies. It is, however, cute and well-made. We couldn't use it because it didn't meet our requirements.
It has the consistency of a cream.
However, after bringing our daughter home, we decided to buy it. She fell in love with the mamaroo swing right away, but she was so small that it swallowed her (she weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and 19 kilograms). When we got her home, she was 5") tall. I strongly advise purchasing this insert if you have a small child.
br>br>That being said, the RockaRoo is amazing and has given me some freedom to do other things while the baby is sleeping, as other reviews have stated. br>br>I'm not sure if it's recommended, but you can clip in a swaddled newborn in this carrier, which will soothe the baby even more.
