Is the bottom of the mat's strap elastic or velcro, and does it go around the bottom of the seat?

It's a Velcro strap that can withstand a lot of wear and tear. I would recommend this product because I have gone through a lot of these types of car seat covers and they all break. This, however, is different. There's no way. So far, everything has gone well, despite the fact that my children are a handful. I hope this has been of assistance. I adore mine, and I hope you have the opportunity to get your hands on some as well.

Is it possible that these would be too big for a Kia Soul?

Although I do not have this exact one, the one I do have is adjustable and will work. Mine are just plain without any sort of organizer.

Is this a two-pack of kick mats?

Yes, this package includes everything you need for the two front seats.

What is the approximate size of the bottle that will fit into the holder? Is it better to use a 12-ounce can or a smaller one?

Yes, 12 ounce cans and even larger are available. I know I put their water bottles in there, and I know that's a little more than the 12 ounce can. I'm sorry I don't have the additional measurements, but it does stretch out a bit. This is in need of assistance.

So I just realized that the Mats I received were incorrect. There are no pockets or holders on my ones.

Willing to do the job, but could use some work on keeping the top straight across the back of the seat

The kick mats are in good condition. They'll make sure the backs of the seats are kept clean. I only wish the top fit was a little more snug. The top of the top buckles or folds in on itself. Perhaps if the top was stiffened. As if there were a thin plastic strip across the top.

No matter how loose or tight the straps are, it will not lay flat. Our type of seat does not allow for the use of a lower strap.

Fit and quality are both poor

These are flimsy and don't fit well in the seats. The strap snags in the front seats, the top corners curl, and the tiny mesh pockets snag. This is one of the most dissatisfying children's products I've ever bought.

It was an acceptable product, but it fell short of expectations. I expected it to have a stiffer back to protect the seat from damage if the child kicked it back. It does a good job of preventing dirty shoes from soiling the seat, but I was hoping for a little more.
