Selected User Reviews For Baby Tula Black Infant Insert for Standard Baby Carrier, Newborn Carry from 7 to 15 pounds
The newborn insert is nice--well made and safe. I like how it elevates my son's legs so he looks like he's squatting in a chair instead of forcing his legs to spread wide to fit around you. I believe it will be more comfortable for him (I'm a big mama with a big postpartum belly). The only thing that bothers me about this insert is how difficult it is to put on while on the go. You must first lay it down, then place the baby on top of it and secure the seatbelt/straps, before transferring the baby to the insert and placing it in the Tula carrier. If you're at home, that's fine, but when I go grocery shopping-- There's no room to lay it down and get the baby in (the back seat has two baby car seats and a stroller). Using a baby Bjorn or a wrap while on the go is much more convenient. This is something I use at home when I want to go for a walk or a long walk outside. I'd buy it again if I could. nope. Too costly and inconvenient to operate.
The insert functioned admirably and was simple to operate. It did what it was supposed to do: it supported my baby. I put the insert to a lot of use and had no problems with it falling apart or the seams coming undone.
I've already used the insert a couple of times and it's fantastic. It's convenient to be able to place my baby on it in the backseat and then put her in the carrier in the insert - She's a lot easier to hold and get all of her limbs into comfortably. It also elevates her to the ideal height. The padding also helps to "fill out" the carrier, making it more secure for her.
This is a straightforward method that delivers excellent results. A couple of minor nitpicks: br>br>The child's base is a little "blocky" and can dig into your skin while you're wearing it; the edges should probably have been rounded off a little to help. br>br>It would be nice if the velcro on the strap closed on the front rather than the back, as this would make it a little easier to install the child.
This worked great for my 6 ft husband with our tula - My newborn slept soundly in there and seemed to enjoy his time there. I'm only 5'2" tall and have a small waist. For me, this was a complete failure. My son's feet were always in the wrong place because it was bulky and clumsy.
This was purchased for my eight-pound two-year-old daughter. one month old It fits perfectly in my Original Tula carrier, giving my little one a smooth, cushioned ride without squeezing her legs. br>I adore my Tula, and with this insert, I was able to wear it before I reached 15 pounds! Yay! Thanks.
It's something we employ. It's not the most comfortable option, but it's the only one that will ever work for the sling. Overall, it accomplishes the task at hand. br>In fact, if you have tula and need an infant insert, this is your only option.
