Questions & Answers

What is the compatibility between the Halo bassinet and this? The sensors will be supported by the wood panels, right? Is that okay?

You should be able to use it. When using a motion sensor, such as a moving bed, it is important to make sure that the base of the bassinet is hard to keep the sensor in proper contact with It is possible that you will have to use an additional plywood if the base is soft. When using a movement monitor, it is crucial not to use any vibration and to make sure the bassinet is not touching the bed of the parents. Thank you for reading. Buying this product for my newborn daughter as we were afraid to leave her in her crib alone made me feel so much better
5/5

I bought it to protect my daughter from harm. Recent loss of a baby caused by SIDS was felt by a close friend. I was able to install it easily. It was the pieces of wood supporting the sensors that were the most challenging part, but you can also buy them online on Amazon. A scrap piece of plywood was all I had on hand. It takes me two feet to reach my bed. There could be a difference in the There have been reports that ceiling fans and air conditioning cause it to go It didn't seem to be enough on the sensors to prevent an alarm from going off several times during my testing. Is it possible that the crib placement is causing the problem? thing that annoyed us was that I would take her out of the crib and forget to turn off the alarm, but eventually we learned to press the button first following this, the alarm went off in the middle of the night the third night we were using it. My first reaction was to jump up and see her get up and go to the Her jump was exciting, so I snatched her up and put her back to midfield. In my assumption, it was an unfounded alarm, so I reset it. I woke up the next morning to find her scooting to that corner again, but she had not set her alarm. I woke up again in the middle of the night after my alarm went off the night before. She was in the middle of it this time. The moment I touched her, she did not flinch and I noticed she didn't breathe. The woman didn't flinch as I shook her. I didn't pick her up until I raised her all the way out of the crib before she jumped. It is not my profession to give medical advice. My lack of interest in testing it might be a reason for her not to be able to breathe again on her own. I have no idea if this device saved her life. I know she hasn't been breathing for 20 seconds, so that's all I know. I'm in love with this thing. This device may not have as many bells and whistles as the other devices, but it does cover the WHOLE crib, and I'll bet that it was primarily financed by investments in the sensors due to their incredible capabilities. We bought this for our new baby and it was the best thing we ever bought. My recommendation to everyone is to read this book.

You'll no longer worry about your mom
5/5

We learned how to roll our 4 month old son onto his stomach and he has been sleeping in this manner since then. The rule that the back is the best sleeping position made me very nervous and I spent a lot of time repositioning him to his back throughout the night only to have him roll immediately back to his stomach. There are differing opinions on this issue according to the experts I read. They should be left alone as soon as they are able to roll, but some experts say they should be put back on their backs if they are not able to roll both ways. Since our son was not yet able to roll onto his back from his belly to his back, I was worried At the time, my mom said babies were supposed to be placed on their tummies to sleep, which was why I slept in the crib on my tummy AFTER I had a blanket. The safe recommendations are different than almost 30 years ago, so I felt a little better because of this. The short story is that I decided to buy something to monitor my son's breathing and movement. The one I chose is the one I decided to buy based on reading reviews about many different products. Taking into consideration that the unit is battery powered and cords are tucked inside the unit as well as the alarm sensor under the mattress, our son will not be able to get a grip on the sensors. In addition, I enjoyed the fact that it is used as a medical device in other countries, not the US where I am from, but it's nice that other nations trust it so Once we had it installed, we did the test and found that where the sensors sit will be very hard for a floor fan to run within 10 ft. As long as the fan is angled to blow directly on the crib, it will be picked up by the sensors even from 10 ft away. The way it picks up on breathing patterns and movement makes me feel that it has a lot of sensitivity since it can even detect when our son stops moving. Since our son moves around a lot in his crib now, I appreciated the fact that there were two sensor pads. My decision to purchase this product over others is based on this factor. haven't had an alarm go off in the last month at all (no false alarms or real alarms), but whenever I test the sensors, they go off, so I know it's For peace of mind, I test the sensors daily and anytime we change the crib sheets just to be sure. The only time I have forgotten to turn off the sensors was during a diaper change near the end of the night. Luckily, it was only my husband and not our son who woke up with the alarm. In addition, we have a normal basic Serta baby mattress and it works just fine. The idea of buying a breathable mattress had crossed our minds, but they were at least hundreds of dollars, and even if they worked (I am not sure if they do), they would not alert me to any issues. In general, I strongly recommend this product. Although nothing can prevent SIDS, this product allows me to feel less worried, which simplifies my life even more. While my tummy asleep son snoozes, I feel less worried, and that makes me feel better.

I would not recommend buying
3/5

I do not recommend this product! As a first-time review writer, I am writing this review due to the horrible and malfunctional nature of the system, along with the poor customer service. We purchased two units, one for each of our twin boys, whom are around 6 months old. Every single one. It is single. It is nighttime. It sounded as if the alarms were ringing more than once totally unnecessarily. We found our boys to be fine and breathing normally. It is supposed to bring parents some peace of mind while they sleep In the last 6 months, since both systems had been waking us up repeatedly through the night, we have lost so much sleep. The devices have been set up in accordance with the instructions and we have followed all troubleshooting instructions. All tests have been successful. My last effort was to e-mail customer service at the six-month mark of having problems. I sent pictures of our set up, as well as the mattress brand, and it was confirmed that we were using the monitors properly. Our troubles date back far in advance of 1), and are related to potential environmental problems like vibrations (even though they confirmed our setup was correct and we had no environmental problems). However, even though the products are less than a year old, they did not apologize, give me a resolution, or offer a refund. There is a scam going on here. You should not waste your money on a business that does not ensure that their products are of high quality or that their customer service is excellent.
