How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

ADVERTISE ASSISTANCE You'll receive a notification if anything appears to be wrong and you can track your baby's heart rate, oxygen level and sleep using clinically-proven pulse oximetry.
A WORRY-LESS SOCK AND BETTER SLEEP The Smart Sock is linked to a base station that glows green when everything is fine, but uses lights, sounds, and notifications if heart rate or oxygen levels are too low or too high. As a result, parents can sleep better and have a lower level of anxiety knowing they will be alerted if the levels exceed preset ranges.
COMFORTABLE, EASY-TO-USE Each unit comes with 3 washable socks that comfortably wrap around the baby's foot and connect to the wireless base station up to 100 feet away. Wireless connections enable you to work away from your computer. A typical infant sock should be hand washed either every night or alternated from right to left foot, and should typically fit a baby from 0-18 months or 6-25 pounds.
The Owlets mobile app lets you track heart rate, oxygen levels, and sleep on multiple smartphones in real time and in trending graphs. Red alert notifications, oxygen and heart rate data can all be viewed and analyzed online. Reports and summaries are available for family, friends, or doctors to review. You can download the iOS & Android app for free. If you don't like it, you can return it for a full refund within 45 days.

Questions & Answers

Can the refurbished unit be used with the same 45 day peace of mind guarantee -- or does it expire?

There is a 90-day money back guarantee on orders made through Amazon The guarantee applies for a period of 15 days.

Does my baby have to be with me in order to use the app or can I use it while I'm at work while my baby is with a sitter?

You will still be able to use the app. As the sock communicates directly with the base station, which you leave at home, you do not have to carry any cables. Owlet's servers receive data from the base station via your WiFi connection and transmit it to the internet. Your phone also communicates with Owlet's servers via the internet once the app is installed. You will not need to have a device running the app or logged in to your account for the babysitter to hear alarms from the base station. It is known that there is a bug in the current version of the product in which the base station stopped reporting its status to the Owlet servers sometimes. You will no longer see live readings or alarm notifications when this happens, but the base station will still monitor the sensor and sound the visible and audible alarms in your home if any issues are detected. You will have to unplug and plug the base station back in in order to solve the problem. This should take a few seconds to come back online, then you can see it Our Owlet has been in our family for nine weeks, and this is a problem we've experienced the entire time, so if your primary goal is to watch your baby from work, that's not going to be a good experience until Owlet fixes it.

What are the possibilities for customizing the alarms? My baby needs a saturation of between 75 - 80 for healthy O2 levels 85 percent. ?

You cannot alter the alarm settings because they are set and cannot be changed. In order to protect themselves from legal liability, the company does this to make sure that they don't allow parents to adjust something to an unsafe setting accidentally. When your baby's regular stats are that low, you might want to consider speaking to your doctor about installing an alarm system to keep an eye on his or her Talking to your doctor can have the benefit of your insurance covering a monitoring system prescribed by your doctor rather than using something like this which is designed to monitor SIDS and not a specific condition such as your child's.

When it comes to premature babies, do socks fit?

I can't wear it because it's too small for a It was a peace of mind that was wanted. We received her at 37 weeks and 5lbs 13oz, but she was only 5lbs 3oz when we got her I am very frustrated, but have been using our Levana Oma sensor that we still have from the day we had our first baby in 2006. There is a clip on the diaper and Her legs are just too scrawny for the Owlet Sock to fit around her until she is able to sense breathing stops.

What a relief to have it over with! If I had this product with my other two children, I would have been able to use it
5/5

As a mom, I always make sure my child's breathing is normal by constantly checking in on them. It always amazes me that even at age 5 and 2, I constantly monitor the monitor to make sure my kids have moved. I never slept with them as babies, even when they The opportunity to be able to enjoy the benefits of this product when I gave birth to my third was well worth the effort. Despite how much I love this monitor, I cannot say enough good things about it. Because I don't have to wake up every 15 minutes to check on the baby, I sleep so well. During a live reading, I simply tell you what I see. My baby has recently come down with a bad cold at 2 months old. Her doctor recommended avoiding wheezing if she does start to wheeze. Whenever I need to check her oxygen level, I can use the Owlet. This monitor has kept me calm and sane throughout the last week, and I would have been a nervous wreck. Invest in it for yourself and you'll never regret There are so many benefits to A couple of other reviews, just to add my comments There has never been a false reading for me. The monitor itself has never caused me any problems. The sock is easy to wear as long as it is put on correctly. I also like how the lullaby plays if the sock gets loose or you are too far from the base station. Basically, it's a way to let you know when there is an issue without having to panic and freak out.

There's a burned foot on the baby! The owlet has been a great product for us for almost three months, and we are still very happy with it
3/5

The fire started precisely where the sock was placed and where the red light hit the skin on my son while I was changing his sock. Yesterday the burn was absent, so it happened in the week of August A sock he had on last night had him wearing it for ten hours. This is the first time he has noticed it after wearing it nightly for months. There is something terrifying and alarming about it. OWLET will be contacting me today to let me know the status of my A word of caution to the buyer.

Were of help
5/5

Since he suffers from reflux, my baby would not sleep on his back for the first 3 months. My body was exhausted after holding him at night to sleep for months and neither one of us was The pediatrician suggests it is okay for us to lay him on his back as long as we monitor his oxygen levels. The Owlet is wonderful! There aren't enough positive things to say about it. The alerts have allowed me to rest easy knowing he will sleep well by himself, and I will be alerted if anything were to go issue I have is that sometimes I lose the sock when nursing my son, which sets off the alarm. The issue is not a big deal for me because I simply turn the socks off in the app before nursing and then turn them back on afterward.

Great product! Just about a 5 out of 5! This is a great product! We actually bought it for our 7 month old daughter when she switched from a smart bed to a crib and Our peace of mind has been restored that she is not limiting her breathing in any way
4/5

Despite having it for 2 weeks, it has woken us up a few nights, telling us that the sock "came loose". I would rate it a 4, but only because it came loose a few times out of 2 weeks. Whenever it is in, we just wiggle it in her foot and it starts reading again. It is kind of a bother when it woke her up, but it is still a necessary feature to make sure she is able to use it.

I consider this a must have
5/5

Without it I wouldn't have known what I was going to do! Originally purchased for our first two babies, did not use on third (not present for first We still use this, even now that our son is 3 months old and still sleeping well. This was the only way I was able to get some sleep during the first few years my son slept. One thing that can be annoying about the alert is that it goes off when there is a little movement and it is very also has the app on his phone, and sometimes we have to turn it off just before the baby wakes up so we don't wake her up in the middle of the night. Additionally, my son is 3 months old and is on the last sock size. I have been trying to figure out if there is a way to get a bigger size sock because we're not ready to give up the Owlet yet! I love the softness, how easy it is to clean and how worth every penny it is.

I am able to sleep at night due to the owlet
5/5

6 weeks of premature birth were the cause of the birth of my first child with my wife. His lungs were underdeveloped, therefore he was in the NICU for a time. (Now he's alright, healthy and growing) One of the things that kept my son in the NICU was the underdevelopment of his We had to wait two weeks for his lungs to catch up, but we are now home again. It's hard enough being a new parent, but making sure that your child is breathing and that their heart is pumping shouldn't be one of your worries. When he was in the NICU, we purchased this product and were ecstatic with its performance. As a result of the owlet, my wife is able to sleep better at night since she knows that if something goes wrong, she will be notified. It is a fantastic duo of apps. Whenever I feel paranoid I can always keep an eye on him when he is sleeping. I wear this every night before I put my son to bed. The watch records my son's heart rate, oxygen levels, and sleep times. In fact, if the doctor ever has questions about how the patient is sleeping, we've used the trend charts in the app to show them. We have found that the owlet really is a must-have for parents especially if your child is premature like ours. We have been amazed at how much sleep we have been able to get with him knowing he's okay.

The one we have is great
5/5

So far, we have been very happy with ours (we have only had it for two I bought my daughter the first one, but it did not work for a week before it started constantly telling us to check the sock placement, regardless of where the sock was placed. As a result of their troubleshooting, the company sent us a new account, which we have now had for about a week. We haven't received any false notifications from the app, and it has worked well for us. Worrier that I am, sleep is so much easier for me with this. I only have to look across the room and see the green glow lets me sleep rather than checking for breathing every hour, rather than waking up to do so! The app is definitely recommended, and I'll try to update it in a few months to see if we still enjoy.

This is a product that's worth every penny
5/5

The peace of mind and a good night's sleep I got from this was priceless. A lot of reviews were available on this item before I purchased it. Not wanting to squander my money on another unnecessary baby item, I opted not to buy it. From "It is the worst product I ever bought, what a waste of money" to "it saved my baby's life" were reviews to be found. Although I was confused, I decided to take a chance. Buying the refurbished version saved us a little bit of money, and it has been working perfectly for us. It would be a good product to give to first-time parents and anyone with a baby. The less things we had to worry about, the better.
