In my case, I used it with Infant Optics DXR-54 You can now own the 8 Pro. It's not possible to pivot down very far with that camera, so I was thinking about alternatives to allow the entire camera to pivot down without having to mount it upside down on the ceiling or sideways on the wall. very tight and secures the whole assembly to whatever surface you clamp it to, but the gooseneck is too droopy and loose to be of much use. It won't stay in the position I need when I angle it over a bassinet in an upright position. When it comes to clamping it facing downward and bending the gooseneck into a U shape in order to keep the camera upright, this is even worse. I have never been able to get it to "settle down" in my use In this case, the gooseneck keeps drooping until it is anchored One of the negative aspects is the way the Infant Optics camera is mounted - it is rather unusual. As a result, it cannot be dismounted or reconfigured again after being attached to the front end with adhesives. Instead of a mechanical latch, it would have been much more effective if there had been some kind of mechanical catch to prevent it from sliding. There are lighter cameras that probably would work, or use cases that are not as restrictive, but to be an effective infant monitor mount, the camera has to be fixed in place. This camera is going to stay since it allows me to mount the camera upside down in positions I could not previously get to. I need to find a way to resolve the issue of the adhesive wearing out if I want it to remain.
I use this for my infant optics baby monitor without any problems. Since we have the Snoo bassinet, and I wanted to see our sleeping baby during the night, but I didn't want another camera mounted in our room, so I bought this and put it on the lip of my nightstand. I found it to be exactly what I needed and it fits securely.
We were able to use it with both A DXR-960 was used The PRO version is 8.
Our only complaint is that you do have to put a few curves in the gooseneck arm to keep it from falling over, but this does not present a problem to.
