You've found it! I ordered a few of these drawstring play mats to compare and ended up keeping this one! I also ordered the Play and Go with a roadmap design, as well as the "Kicpot" (a Made in China knockoff with the same roadmap pattern). Both of them were returned in Winthome's favor. (If you're curious, I also went over those two items. ) PROS: )br>br> br>br>I think it's a brilliant idea. I bring a variety of toys with me whenever I visit my family with my daughter. I like that I can put them all in one big bag, which also serves as a play mat, and then easily pack them back up when we're ready to leave. br>br>The road map design makes this play mat extra fun and open-ended. br>br>I can even store the toys in the bag to grab and go for next time. br>br> the time for imaginative play has passed The forest/road/town design is adorable, and the colors aren't as garish as they are on so many other children's items. Compared to the other portable play mats I've tried, this model's drawstring is SO MUCH EASIER to cinch. The quick and simple drawstring feature was the deciding factor in keeping this product. Rope and grommets were a pain to get into a bag shape on other products. This is not the case! So simple and quick. br>br>Instead of exposed ropes weaving in and out of grommets, I like that the drawstring travels through a channel around the outside of the mat. In my opinion, it is less dangerous. br>br>I like how it has a grippy underside to keep it from sliding around. slip. br>br>It's a better deal than the Play and Go. CONS: br>br> br>br>This is polyester, not cotton, but that doesn't bother me too much. The Play and Go was made of a thicker, more durable cotton canvas, but it was less soft and pleasant to play on. br>br>It would be nice if this product had a handle so that the bag could be carried once it was cinched up. The long rope makes it difficult to carry. I usually tie a knot in it to make it a little easier, but I'm thinking about sewing a couple fabric handles into the underside. br>br>The stitching on the underside around the edge could be a little sloppy. But it's not something that worries me. br>br>Once the ropes are cinched and turned into a bag, the exposed ropes are quite long and, in my opinion, pose a strangulation hazard to young babies and children. Just play it safe. OVERALL: br>br> br>br>A clever concept, and cinching up all the toys into a bag shape is so quick and easy. This one is a keeper for transporting your child's toys to different locations and providing them with a nice little designated play area once you arrive. ***UPDATE**
I just washed the play mat for the first time on a cold, regular wash cycle. The cord came completely untangled at the other end. Fortunately, there was a knot at the end of the cord, which prevented the cord from being completely destroyed. The cord's end should have been sealed in some way (glue, perhaps?). I'm not sure what I'm saying. As a result, it can still be used, but the frayed cords make it look less appealing. I just wanted to remove a star from this review and recommend using a delicate or handwash setting instead. To make it last longer, I'm not going to put it in the dryer, but it stinks that I'll have to air dry it! br>br>I emailed the seller about the problem but did not receive a response. Another star deducted due to inept customer service!.

This is a lifesaver for me because I have hardwood floors and cats. It allows my son to roll around without getting hair in his mouth or hurting himself on the floors! It's simple to clean; simply close the bag and toss it in the washing machine. It's also very cute.

This is something I just got out of the package. It's made of nice material and is a good size for a wriggly baby. The pattern is adorable, and it's thick enough to last. My only gripe so far is that the cinch spring mechanism can easily slip off the rope's end. It's choking hazard-sized, so keep it out of your child's reach. With a few knots, this could have easily been solved. In addition, the "double cinch" is actually just one rope with a spring mechanism on two parts, rather than two separate ropes.

On our hardwood floors, there was just enough padding to keep her comfortable. I was apprehensive about washing it, but there was no difference in the mat's quality afterward. It's a substantial size, but not excessively so. Big Brother is welcome to play with her, and there is plenty of room. I would strongly suggest it.

Simple to clean (throw in the washer on the gentle cycle and air dry, but it dries QUICKLY)! The best part is that you can cinch it up and it turns into a bag with all the toys inside for easy toting to Grandma's house or on trips! Love it.

It'll be ideal for my sitter's home. It's simple to wash and pull up. Also, I really like the design. The cushioning isn't as thick as it could be. The carpet is placed on top of it.
