To be quite honest, I do not have any children I purchased this in an effort to avoid the door-to-door salesman. I have my fingers crossed that it will work. I think the product is very cute and its size is quite reasonable. You can use it on your baby's door when she is a newborn

While the tag part melted in the hot California sun as it hung from the door knob, the tag itself is sturdy since it's about the thickness of a credit card. He hung it on a metal handle that was hot and over 100 degrees. This is a problem I can see no way around. Other than that, I think this is an excellent little tag and would work well for somebody with an outdoor porch.

For babies and toddlers, this is a must-have

It's great for visitors who don't know where they're going. Since we have a toddler and we understand the value of naps, it is great to have this posted at the door and since then, we have never had an uninvited guest cause we post it at the door. No matter if you have kids or not, you will find this good at keeping door to door salespersons.

He sleeps at night when we have two very loud dogs, so it is very helpful during the day when they are both awake. I live in Southern California because it is hot there, but the sign does not quickly fade or heat up.
