The bag is lightweight enough so that he can drag it through the house so when it comes to breathable qualities, I would give it a pass and yes for the 3 year.
It is the perfect size for his crib/toddler bed. The material is easy to clean, and will air dry quickly as well- Mishaps at night have a very high chance of occurring. It can be used without a duvet cover, but a fitted one will be added so that the duvet can remain in a good condition for longer.
It was a mistake on my part to not read the description of another purchase that said it was a duvet only. Only thing I don't like about it is how short it is for a crib mattress.
Despite my high expectations, Comforter exceeded them. It's comfortable and lightweight at the same time. I didn't smell anything strange when I first opened it, and it was very I am glad I came across this.
I searched high and low for the perfect duvet for my toddler and this was it! We highly recommend it because it is light weight and soft, yet it keeps him warm at night.
I would definitely recommend to other parents.
I have an amazing quilt for my daughter! She's 2 & 1/2 years old.
