It is one solid ball of all, not one but two solid blocks of foam, making it impossible to differentiate between soft or firm

No label appears on either side of the container to distinguish the infant from the child. Since it's just one solid sheet of mushy foam, it wouldn't make a difference which age it was intended for anyway. These are definitely not suitable for sleeping on by an infant! It is a shame that you are selling an item that is completely different from what you describe.

I love how well it fits

I have a baby graco day2dream pack and play that fits the mattress perfectly. On one side, it is softer for toddlers and on the other, it is firmer. There is a label on each side. You must, however, be careful not to mix the toddler/infant sides once you remove the removable cover. This is because the toddler/infant sides are not marked on the actual mattress but just on the A perfect fit and a perfect thickness make my mattress a great buy.
