I'm glad this set is available on Amazon. This product is simple to use and put together, and it captures a special moment in a parent's life with their child. The frame is already put together, and the clay is soft and easy to squish into the frame's slot. The clay imprints easily and without much force, making it ideal for delicate hands and feet, and it doesn't dry out quickly if you need to smooth it out and start over several times. While it's still in the frame, it bakes quickly. The imprints remain perfect during the baking process, and the clay remains completely secure in the frame once hardened. At 6 months, the imprinting space was large enough for my son's handprint and footprint, and it could have fit slightly larger imprints as well. A picture is displayed on the other side of the hinged frame, which is protected by a transparent cover. It's stunning, and it looks great on the shelf. Mine has been moved a few times and is still in great shape. It's always been and always will be one of my most cherished possessions.
This is fantastic! I was worried about ruining the project because I had seen some people burn theirs, especially since my kit didn't include baking instructions. So I was reading through a comment about baking for 30 minutes at 275 degrees Fahrenheit. What I did was take it out every five minutes and check it. I let it cool for 30 minutes after which it was nice and firm! It's fantastic, and I strongly advise you to try it out. The image appears to be fantastic. It is a wonderful present.
This was a gift for my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. I carved and sculpted a picture of the two of us and inserted it into the image. You'd never guess it's for a baby's handprint, would you? I was extremely pleased with the quality of the clay and frame; it was an excellent product.
I've done these with each of my three kids, and this time it wasn't clay, but rather something more akin to model magic. It's a little fluffier and a little more difficult to work with. It also didn't hold up well when I tried to write my baby's name in the "clay. " Prior to changing their clay formula, it was a much better product.
Having said that, the clay on this one did not set up properly. We got it all set up, my son's footprints in the clay, and I was able to get his name and birth date in there, which turned out to be a nice touch. until I took it out of the oven When I took it out of the oven, the clay was beveled in the middle and cracked: I followed the instructions, put it on a cookie sheet, and baked it for the time specified in the instructions: (This is not how I wanted my son's prints to look. ).
This is absolutely stunning! Before I did my baby's prints, I kneaded the clay and made sure it was evenly rolled into the frame. Before baking, I used a gentle fingertip to smooth out any bumps or lines. My picture came with a nice white border and a glass cover, and it baked perfectly. Mother's Day present that is both beautiful and practical.
I've had a lot of experience with this product (which I didn't purchase from this individual). This one caught fire in my oven, filling my home with chemical smoke. It even grew bigger! There was definitely something wrong with this product, and I emailed the seller for a refund but received no response. This is dangerously close to a fire!.
This was fantastic; we bought it for the two grandmothers for Mother's Day. It was simple to put together, with little mess, and it turned out beautifully. It made everyone happy, especially the grandmothers.
