It's a subdued silver finish that's painted silver. It's pretty and classy. (And it's cheap!) ) I'd broken a nursery frame with the words "me and my daddy" on it, and it held a photo of my husband holding our son next to his own father. That frame was absolutely stunning, but it was clearly intended for a nursery. I couldn't find that frame online, so I went with this one, which is a bit more mature, even though it still has the daddy and me message, but it's much more subdued than the previous one. This is a lovely frame, but it isn't particularly long-lasting. The wood cracked open when it was knocked over. I bought a new one to replace it.
