The opening runs parallel to the binding. On the three outside edges of each page, there is vinyl edging. My granddaughter, who is two years old, is enamored with her photo album. No pictures have ever fallen out or been damaged despite chewing the pages, holding the book upside down, shaking it, and folding the pages for 18 months. It's a prized possession of hers! I strongly advise you to do so. 5 stars!
There are 14 photo slots on the front and back pages, as well as one on the back of the cover page. The baby can look in the flexible mirror on the last page. In a book with 9 physical page leaves, there are a total of 15 pictures.
It was a gift, but I estimate it to be about seven pages long. There were two pictures on each page. One is in the front, and the other is in the back. There could have been one more pocket on the inside cover, bringing the total number of pockets to 15. For a child, this is a fantastic keepsake. Pictures are protected so that the child can drag them around, play with them, or just look at them.

It appeals to me. We look at it frequently, and she enjoys looking at the different people's faces. I also have a photo of her on the last page, which has a mirror back cover so she can see herself, and I think she enjoys seeing another baby and her reflection at the same time. I like that the pages are flexible and appear tough enough for her to chew on now, as well as throw and manhandle when she is a toddler. I can easily get in and out of the pictures, but I don't think she will be able to do so as she grows older. I also like that it can hold 17 photos. Although the description says 15, I just counted and found that mine has 17 slots!.
We are a military family with a home thousands of miles away. This one was purchased for our niece so she could have photos of us and other family members. She adores it and has stared at it since receiving it. The cover is also extremely soft, which she enjoys simply touching. The last page also has a mirror, which is ideal for small children. We'll be purchasing another for our other niece in November. This is an excellent purchase for any young child!.
This is adorable. It is a long-lasting product. We purchased it for my granddaughter, who is currently working hard on her schoolwork. She was around 18 months old at the time. She hasn't torn a single page. It's great that it can hold a good number of photos. (THIS ONE HOLDS MORE THAN ANY OTHER] The ONLY criticism I have is that the photos are difficult to get into the sleeves, but that also means she won't be able to get them out! I think I'll order another one or two.

My granddaughter enjoys reading books and seeing herself in photographs. This is a win-win situation with this book - win! We filled the book with photos we took with our phones and ordered them from Walgreens. Her favorite book is this one. The back-of-the-room mirror is a nice touch.
After having three sons, I purchased this for a friend who now has a daughter. I went on Facebook and found photos of their family that I thought their daughter would enjoy as she grew older. But I knew her older brothers would enjoy looking through the family photos as well. The album was beautifully produced and soothing to listen to. I've made other baby albums in the past, but this is by far my favorite. I'll get it as a gift again. It comes with a variety of covers as well.
This is a big hit with our toddler. Because she's so rough with it, we've made two purchases. I believe it would withstand regular use, but she has a habit of bending the pages backwards and picking at the cover. This one appeals to me more than the first one we purchased, which featured a giraffe on the front. The foam in the giraffe cover came out fairly easily, and this cover does not appear to have foam. I believe they are both manufactured by the same company (Genius Babies).
This is a wonderful present. Because my son's grandparents and other family members live far away, I bought it to fill it with family photos when he was younger. Vinyl pages are used on the inside, and cloth is used on the outside. Baby will love it, and it also makes a great gift.
