For comfort when I sleep, I usually have upward of five pillows surrounding me. I bought this pillow to see if it was able to substitute for all the pillows around me. After it took its full shape at room temperature for several hours after opening its vacuum sealed packaging last night, I used it. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby! I had to air this pillow out for 3 days and still had to spray it with lavender every night for a few nights before the smell wouldn't irritate my throat. Not only is the pillowcase not rough, but it's also not an extremely soft material. In addition, there is not as much fluff as you see in the picture - it's a bit slimmer in person. Thanks to this pillow, I've been able to sleep through the night. As this is my second pregnancy and the round ligament pain has been much more intense this time, this one has been much more challenging for me. Despite some complaints from people who say the shape loses its shape, and it eventually goes flat, I have yet to encounter that problem. For more than three weeks, I have been suffering from this. Every person's body is different, but because my head and neck are so flat, I feel as though the top rectangular part is inadequate to support them. I especially like to sleep on my side. There is too much stuffing between the knees in the bottom part. Rather than improving my hip pain, the exercise actually made it worse. In addition, I tried it upside down with the rectangular piece below my knees, and I put in my usual head pillow in the center. The situation did not feel comfortable to me. The mattress is difficult to get comfortable on, and if you move it a lot, it travels across the bed. When I tried to use the pillow two separate times, I nearly broke my bedside lamp. Quite a bit of the stuffing may need to be removed from the portion between your knees if you are shorter or lighter than I am (I'm 5'7" and 180lb at 20 weeks).
