It is a good size! This set is so cute! This dishwasher has been used for 2 months without any issues, which is a good sign of durability. The plates and bowls should be of a good size (and not toddler-sized) and strong enough to be carried from one room to another As well as my 9 year old son who loves it, my 4 year old daughter also loves the dishware with Hello Kitty on it. It does not need to be used in a microwave. Highly recommended!.
