In addition to the cups, bowls, and plates, we bought a set of cutlery. It doesn't take much for them to break! Our first few weeks have been characterized by two brakes. When my 12 year old rolled over the table to set it, he accidentally dropped the cup and broke it. I dropped (not threw) the bowl into the sink when my 5 year old was in the kitchen.
My microwave bowls get extremely hot when I microwave in them. For this reason, I use ceramic bowls whenever I need to reheat something, then transfer it
For the moment, we have only this one set, consisting of different shades of greys, beige, greens, and blues.

Do not microwave. Despite its name, this product is not made solely from It is not advertised as 100% bamboo, but the seller boasts that it is PVC free, phthalate free, and BPA free, and FDA approved (most dinnerware/foodware is), albeit without any codes stating that it is not microwaveable. On the website, the packaging, or the plates, there is no clear statement saying they are not microwave friendly. There's a lot of deceit in this. Microwaves should not be used. Foods may contain melamine if they are heated to very high temperatures. Melamine plates and bowls are not recommended for microwaving by the FDA because of this. In this case, I do not know how much of this product is bamboo and how much is melamine. My knowledge is that the seller fails to state that they are not microwaveable. Additionally, they don't last as long as they were supposed to. When thrown by a toddler onto a hard surface, they tend to crack easily.
Wish I had read the reviews first! Our toddler dropped the bowl on the floor right after we used it for the first time, and it got cracked. It would be difficult for me to use these bowls because I really needed something that wouldn't break. My email to WeeSprouts has been sent, so I hope to work out I recently received a refund from WeeSprouts, and in addition they sent me a replacement set of bowls. ***Edited*** Since I wrote this review, WeeSprouts has contacted me again and refunded me in full. The level of commitment you have to your customers is fantastic! It is my policy to buy American When I can, I try to make it a worthwhile endeavor, and these guys make it worth it! As of now, there have been two more bowl breaks and a cup crack, so my review stands, and I'm sticking to it If you need something that won't break, then you aren't going to like this! I would definitely consider purchasing from WeeSprouts again if the customer service is as great as it is.
My heart is broken. In my experience, these bowls and cups have already shown their inadequacies within the first few weeks of owning them. I bought them for my young boys hoping they would be a durable alternative without any harmful elements that are typically found in children's plastic bowls and cups. A bowl and a mug have broken for me - Better than - Toddler) and cracked a few times. As a result of dropping the cup, it cracked along its entire length. In particular, I am disappointed since this company boasts of In the past, we owned plastic products that appear to be much more durable. My heart is broken.
We are less than 2 weeks into the new year, and 2 have already broken. A set of bowls and another set of cups were broken when I purchased them. My guess is that it was dropped from a height that any product designed for this age group should be able to handle. A plastic cup was just sitting by the sink as water for brushing teeth and rinsing, so I am unsure why the cup The experience was very disappointing, and I regret wasting any money on it. This was a very expensive purchase for a few kids dishes, and I expected that I would get a decent product The 4 yr old was also upset that his new dish broke, so I had to deal with him screaming and crying.
I have only had these bowls a little more than a month, and already one of them has cracked. As far as I know, I have not used them in a dishwasher or heated with anything other than As a result, I'm pretty upset. Since it is only one of the four, I don't know what the reason is for it, and thus I have to lower my In addition, the size and depth of the pool are nice for my younger children. I did, however, wish it would be a bit more durable considering the price. I would like to add that EverSprout has contacted me since I had written this review and they have provided me with only good things to say about the customer service. To make sure the customer was satisfied, they did everything in their power. However, in my opinion, buying these bowls is still a safe decision. In the past couple of years, I have used the others with no problems. My younger kids will love the size and depth of the pool, as I stated before. This company offers us a safe dinnerware solution for our kids, and they go the extra mile to ensure their customers are satisfied. Your customers are important to WeeSprout, so thank you!.
My bowls are so disappointing. I bought them on April 9th, received them on May 12th, and today is May 13th, meaning they've been cracked open for over a month now. These were purchased for my little ones because I wished to avoid plastic for them. However, they did not last. As soon as I put them in the dishwasher, it Having bought the plates as well, I hope they will last me for quite a while as well.
They easily break when thrown on tile or any other hard surface. In general, babies and toddlers like to play with plates and cups, and so my daughter went through a phase where she made a habit of tossing plates onto We threw the plates all over the place, and they all fell apart! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this product. I wanted wood or bamboo to avoid the chemicals in plastic, and I wanted to avoid glass or ceramic because they break so easily.
In order to keep my little one from falling over, I needed a bowl that would not topple over easily. In most cases, he pops the suction bowls off right away, which causes their weight to shift up. Unlike many plastic bowls, munchkin bowls have rounded bottoms and can be easily flipped over. We decided to give them a try after seeing the flat bottom. It is really easy for my son to handle these now that he is about three. It's light enough to make it easy for him to transport cereal or other foods closer without spilling anything, but it holds a lot of food. There is only one complaint I have about it it makes a loud sound when a spoon scrapes the bowl. As if nails are pounded on a chalkboard, that's how I feel. It is my first time having bamboo plates or bowls, so I have no idea how they are. The expression "normal or not" means either way. My husband and son don't seem to be concerned about it, but it sure does cut to the core of who I am.
