Questions & Answers

Is it true that if I buy the 18-pack, I'll get a total of 18 pouches? Or do you want 18 boxes (each containing 4/6/whatever)?

Yes. There are a total of 18 pouches. Thank you very much.

What flavors should I expect if I order the variety pack? I'm a vegetarian, so I'm curious. Is there anything in the variety pack that isn't meat?

The following is a list of the contents of the variety pack: Blueberry carrot, spinach pear, and pumpkin banana No meat. They're just as popular as homemade baby food with my nine-month-old.

Is it okay if I heat this up?

Heating isn't required - It's great for the baby to eat at room temperature!

Is there any sodium that has been added?

These products have a sodium content of 10mg or 15mg.

I got some pouches that were spoiled
3/5

In November of 2018, I received a subscribe and save order of these pouches and was surprised to see that they looked like the older style without the clear window, but the expiration dates were in May of 2019, so I opened one. The banana pumpkin purée that came out of the pouch was dark brown, almost black for the first inch or two. The rest appeared to be in good condition, so I tossed that pouch and opened a new one. the problem is the same I tried a few more pouches from the box, and they all had the same problem: the food at the top of the pouch was oxidizing, implying that the pouch wasn't properly sealed. The purée had a metallic scent to it when I smelled it. br>br> I could have easily fed rancid baby food to my baby if I hadn't been paying close attention when I squeezed this into a bowl. I was able to get a refund from Amazon without having to return the three boxes of pouches, but I will not be ordering these again. It's too bad, because these were our go-to fruit and vegetable purées.

POUCHES THAT HAVE BEEN USED AND ARE EXPIRED: Please read the following information and be informed as parents
3/5

This was purchased on June 15, 2018, and all of the pouches are due to expire on August 18, 2018. I don't believe that "new" pouches should be valid for more than two months after purchase. It appears to be a medical issue. As parents, we expected this product to last a long time as we introduced solids, textures, and, most importantly, quality, safe, organic ingredients to our baby. Normally, I wouldn't have checked the date unless I saw similar complaints online, but Amazon has told me that I should contact the manufacturer for a refund because I raised this issue so "late" from the date of purchase, which isn't the point. According to the other comments and reviews, it appears that selling expired or near-expired products to parents for BABIES is a bigger problem. It appears that Amazon has shied away from its responsibilities as a retailer by selling perishable goods that have passed or are about to pass their expiration dates. This food is for people who don't have a fully developed immune system, and I can't stress that enough. On a side note, I did contact Plum Organics directly to inquire about the issue of the manufacturer supplying perishable goods that were past or nearing their expiration dates. While they apologized for the problem, they also stated that Amazon is responsible for the products it sells. Manufacturers, in my opinion, are also responsible for ensuring that their products are reasonably fresh when they are placed on "shelves" in stores. I know for a fact that milk, egg, soda, and even chip distributors check and recheck their stock on retailer shelves on a regular basis, rotating out any items that aren't fit for sale. If a baby became ill after eating an expired Plum Organics pouch, I guarantee that both Amazon and Plum Organics' names would be on the front page of the newspaper, and that baby/family would almost certainly receive a large settlement from one of the two companies. Both companies are blaming each other, which is disappointing. Neither company is taking any responsibility for the problem in their supply chains, and neither appears to be doing anything about it. Plum Organics will send you two vouchers for additional pouches. I'd rather get a call from someone who can make distribution changes and ensure that the problem is investigated, identified, and corrected as soon as possible. A notice to families who have purchased Plum Organics products from Amazon, informing them of the potential problem, seems like a good first step, but I suppose someone would have to claim liability first.

There are some tasty flavors here, but they are not environmentally friendly
5/5

I'm an adult who eats like a bird, and squeezy pouches for on-the-go meals are my favorite. It's nice to guzzle down a pouch and get a serving of veggies and fruits when I'm having trouble eating. Except for the green flavor, which tasted like straight mushy peas, the other flavors were quite enjoyable. I mean, I like peas, but I thought to myself, "How could I possibly feed this to a baby if I can't eat it?" " And it was only then that I realized what all those videos of babies spitting up baby food on YouTube were about - Because it can be unpleasant at times. The other flavors, on the other hand, were fantastic! br>br>I would most likely buy these again. However, the pouches are not recyclable; only the lids, I believe, are. The pouches were delivered in a bit of overkill packaging (6 pouches per box, then 3 boxes in one large box, inside an Amazon box). br>br>I like pouch food, but I'm going to start making my own with reusable pouches instead of buying them because they're wasteful but convenient.

Plum is one of our favorite characters
5/5

A label with the expiration date can be found on the outside of purple Plum boxes. As a result, you won't have to return an opened box for exchange if there's a problem. Despite the negative reviews about the purée food's expiration date discrepancies, I ordered the purée food. I've previously used the Plum brand and prefer it to Gerber or Beech Nut. I was not disappointed in the least. Even if the expiration date was a problem, I would have shrugged and asked for a refund. br>br>This brand is the purée food that comes closest to what you'd make at home. The sugars come from the fruits naturally, the texture is pleasant, and the price is fair. For as long as Plum is available on Amazon, I'll continue to skip the middleman and buy directly from them.

Be wary of your kids
3/5

Food that has gone bad. I had no problems feeding this food to my baby in large quantities. Then, the day before yesterday, he ate the food and then puked it up for hours, late into the night. The pouch I had thrown away smelled and tasted bad when I examined it. Despite the fact that the expiration date was October 2020, only 3 months away, it had gone bad. Keep an eye on things. Before you feed your baby, always inspect pre-packaged food!.

They are a big hit with my daughter
5/5

There are no preservatives or sugar added. We use these pouches for our babies and toddlers. My 2-year-old daughter still enjoys the yellow, green, and purple variety pack that we subscribe to. I've tried some of their other variety packs, but the price per pouch is too high when compared to what I can get in the store. The yellow, green, and purple variety pack, on the other hand, is a great deal, and it occasionally goes on sale on Amazon. We've been using these for over a year because they don't contain any added preservatives or sugar. My daughter's favorite carrot is purple, and she always eats it first. These, in my opinion, are an excellent way to supplement your child's diet with more vegetables and fruits. Finally, before blindly giving my children new products, I try all of the foods I give them to make sure I like them, and these passed the test.
