These items have the potential to do a lot of damage. I bought a bunch of these for my twins and now I'm kicking myself for it. The Lawsuit Against Google Sprouts Baby Food "The U. The report 'Baby Foods Are Tainted with Dangerous Levels of Arsenic, Lead, Cadmium, and Mercury' by the House Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy claims that toxic heavy metals were discovered in seven major baby food brands.
I'm not sure who sells them, but we placed an order to see if we could get specific flavors. Two of the flavors shown are not included in the pack, despite the fact that it claims to include eight. There are only seven different flavors available. It's not a big deal, but we won't buy from them again.
If you, like me, chose this variety pack because of the specific flavor selections displayed, choose a different product because the flavors you receive are not the same as those displayed. I didn't realize until this morning, after my son had already eaten some of them, that the flavors they sent were not the flavors I specifically searched for and ordered, despite the fact that they were still from the Smoothie and PowerPak product line.
This is false advertising, as other reviewers have pointed out. I didn't get the Blueberry Banana flavor, so there were a total of seven flavors I got. I believe that penalizing celebrities for false advertising is necessary. I'm not sure what they mean by "eight flavors, four pouches," because that would equal 32 pouches. You do, however, receive twelve. I ended up with two of each of the five flavors, followed by one of each of the two flavors. A total of 12 pouches are now available. I'm disappointed that the blueberry banana flavor was not included in the shipment.
The pouches arrived loose in a box, which I found odd, but I'm glad I did because someone mentioned that some were expired, and I discovered that 5 of the 12 in this pack were expired. There isn't the right variety, either, as shown in the photos. It appears as if 12 pouches were simply thrown into the shipping box. This product isn't trustworthy.
Sprout food is a favorite of mine and my son's. Unfortunately, one of the packets burst open and made a mess in the box at some point. In addition, we had to throw it away, which was a complete waste of money. br> The food was dried on the other packets and inside the box, so I'm not sure how fresh it was.
I like these because of all the healthy ingredients, but my son has a kiwi allergy. Before I ordered, I double-checked that none of these flavors contained kiwi, but both of my most recent packages contained two kiwi pouches. I'm afraid I won't be able to use either of these. The rest of it was excellent. They are also enjoyed by my son. However, they must make certain that the flavors shown are sent to you.
As a result, it's more like a toddler smoothie snack than baby food. It's something we do for breakfast and throughout the day as well. So far, all of the flavors in this package have been suitable for my son. Wish there wasn't so much banana because my son had to reduce his banana consumption. So, next time, I'm not going to order anything with banana flavors.
